Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Luxtreme Slim Fit Pull On Mid Rise Cropped Pant, Frank and Eileen Relaxed Button Up Shirt

Happy Friday! So glad it's finally the weekend. Today's fit review Friday is a mix of Frank & Eileen and Lululemon. Frank & Eileen is slowly becoming one of my favorite brands while Lululemon has been dialing back a bit.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon and size XS in Frank & Eileen.

I'm a huge fan of Frank & Eileen's Relaxed Button Up Shirts, especially in their Italian Cashmere Touch fabric. There isn't actually any cashmere in it, but it feels like it's a cashmere blend. It's super soft, cozy and warm. I'm wearing size XS and the fit is generous. For a more fitted look, I would recommend sizing down. The length is shorter in the front and slightly longer in the back. I have worn these as a casual layer to the office.

What I really love about Frank & Eileen's clothes, is you can throw everything in the washing machine and dryer. The clothes will come out looking and feeling brand new. It's actually quite impressive. The only downside is the price. I'll usually wait for their semi-annual sale and snag a couple of pieces for 40% off. There is a sale happening right now, but sizes do sell out pretty quickly.

I finally received my Lululemon order for the Luxtreme Slim Fit Pull On Mid Rise Cropped Pant. Some reviews said the fit was very similar to On The Fly Pants, but ran small. Instead of my usual size 4, I went with size 6 which was a mistake. They're too big and loose throughout. I should have stuck with size 4.

(on sale $59)

On The Fly Pants were more flattering. The pant leg on these are too wide, especially at the ankles. The length measures 24 inches long so they are very petite friendly.

I would have preferred a slimmer pant leg.

The drawcord is on the inside of the waistband, which I really like. I'm getting tired of traditional drawstrings.

The fabric feels very sleek and cool to the touch. The fabric is stretchy and feels mid weight. If the fit was closer to On The Fly Pants, I would have kept them. I debated on exchanging them for a size 4, but I think the leg opening would still be too wide. Did anyone here try a pair? If so, did you like them?

That's it for me! Lots of sales happening right now. Athleta is having 30% off and I'm trying to not look too hard. 😅 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! If you're on a no-buy challenge with me, stay strong!

  2. Hi Leslie! Thank you for the fit review! I think the pants would look more polished if the legs were more tapered. They do look very comfortable on you and could be good for casual weekends. The marked down price is very reasonable. It's too bad that these aren't available in Canada!

    1. Hi Karen! Yes, a more tapered leg would have been so much better. I wonder why Canada didn't get these. That's so strange!

  3. I've been eyeing these for a while but was nervous about the sizing and length. I think I'll pass after your review - thank you! Cropped pants always hit at a weird place on me and just make me feel like I look even shorter. (My bf says I am short and nothing makes me look more or less, lol.) I have yet to try the Daydrift line, but I might...

    1. Hah! You're welcome. On the Fly Crops will always be my favorite. Nothing has come close to those.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
