New Releases Week of August 12th 2025

Lots of new offerings today! Very intrigued by the Scuba Waffle collection. I used to have a waffle hoodie from Splendid probably 15 years ago that I wore to shreds. I have not found a nice waffle hoodie since to replace it. I wonder if Lululemon might be the one? Banana Republic has a pair of pants that also caught my eye, it's very petite friendly and I will order it to try. Last but not least, new fall bags are tempting me! I love suede bags for fall. Quince and J.Crew has some really nice ones for their price point. And of course we can't leave out Coach, jumping on the worn effect that's very popular right now. Let me know what you think!

(Waffle? I am intrugued. I hope it is smooth on the inside.)

(New color, very lovely green.)

(Why does this have to be cropped? 😒)

(I actually like this but it's $148. 😓)

(This looks like a super dark purple to me, but it might as well be black?)

(Interesting, but they almost look like boxers at a glance.)

Other items that caught my eye this week:

  2. Thank you for showing all these picks. I find them far more interesting and tempting than the Lululemon stuff.

    1. Should I demote Lululemon from the opening act? 😅

  3. The waffle looks so cute but the price! I have a lot of waffle from Aritzia. I like their waffle a lot and have it in pants and jacket and a tank. I haven't tried the waffleX material but their baby waffle and older waffle styles

    1. HI Janessa! I know, why is it so much more expensive? I'll have to check out the Aritzia waffle items.

  4. I asked the same question when I saw the Scuba Cropped Funnel-Neck Half Zip
Waffle. "Why does it have to be cropped?" Then I saw the Crinkle Nylon Cinchable Jacket and scratched my head ...

I was so tempted to get the On My Level Tote Bag in Crisp Stone Vapor Multi cos the print is pretty and I'm a sucker for greys. However, you mentioned in your review of the On My Level Tote Bag 19L Wash that the bag is huge and I know the 20L wouldn't work for me. I wish this bag comes in 10L. :(

I'm seeing barrel pants everywhere but I'll have to grow at least 5 more inches to look good in them! :D

    1. Hi Andrea! I had to look up the jacket and laughed.

I agree with you, the 19L and 20L is so big. I wish it would be released in a medium size. Even a 12L would be fine.

Agree, petites cannot pull off the barrel look. I know I can't. I would rather do wide leg over barrel any day.

  5. I'm pleasantly surprised the waffle items are lined with a soft lining on the inside! For the price, they most definitely should be. They are cute, but I will pass.

    1. Hi LZ! Ohh good to know they are lined. I am going to have to check these out.

  6. I love the mix of things that caught your eye this week!

I have a waffle hoodie from Free People from last year that is fairly soft. I actually had two, but one color did not survive my last closet clean out. I'm trying to be more brutal when decluttering my closet and I only wore it once in a year's time.

    1. I should do another closet clean out too. I have a lot of things I am holding on to, but should let them go!

  7. I was looking at WMTM this morning and saw this-- https://shop.lululemon.com/p/womens-leggings/Nulu-High-Rise-Mesh-Leg-Tight-28-MD/_/prod20002886?color=68585

What even is that?? I'm sorry, but no one should be wearing it. So unattractive. Like wearing nylons over a bathing suit bottom. Who looked at this during the design meeting and said, "YES!" I don''t understand what's happening to this company. Is the goal to be Forever 21 with higher prices?

    1. Hah! I giggled when I looked up those tights. Reminds me of 80s women working out to Richard Simmons. No one will be buying those at all. It'll sit there forever.

  8. Nightmoth looks black to my eyes. I was initially interested thinking it was a darker black swan color. But, seeing that you basically have to have something black right next to it to see a difference, I decided it was a waste of money. I wish they'd bring black swan back!!

The shorts also looked like boxers to me! I had to do a double take to realize they were regular shorts. I thought maybe Lulu really was going full 90s with boxers as shorts. LOL

    1. Hi Stacy! Yes, it looks like black to me too. Black Swan is much prettier.

Don't know what they were thinking with those shorts. I think they need to get some new designers.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
