Fit Review Friday! Lululemon WovenAir Cinchable Cuff High Rise Jogger and Stretch Woven Ruffle Waist Wide Leg Cropped Pant

Happy Friday! After hearing so many good things about Quince and seeing their ads on Instagram all summer long, I finally placed an order. I have some linen pieces, a cashmere cardigan, and a suede bag coming soon. I'm really excited to see what this brand is all about. Until the order arrives, I have a brand new Lululemon fit review. As some of you know, I'm pretty much at Avalon every weekend. It's an outdoor mixed use development with all my favorite stores. Lululemon, Athleta, Banana Republic, J.Crew, and Anthropologie. It's a good place to get my steps in and see what's new.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon and I also wear size PXS in Athleta.

Okay, I was not expecting to like these pants as much as I do. I'm wearing size XS and the fit is almost perfect. The waistband has a cute ruffle and while these pants are high rise, I did pull the waistband down a little bit to where I like it to sit. I think they're flattering even on my petite frame. The fabric is thin and lightweight, perfect for summer temperatures. The length measures 25 inches, which is full length on me.

For $128, I passed for now, but will definitely reconsider purchasing on markdown. In some angles, the wide leg is flattering, but in other photos, the wide leg also makes my legs look short. 😐 However, they are very, very comfortable and I love the color! Warm Ash Gray is such a great neutral.

(on sale $79)

These joggers were definitely a return because it was the only one in the store. They did not have any other colors to try on. I'm wearing size XS and the waist is comfortable and stretchy. These are also high rise, but it didn't feel too high since I can pull the waist down a bit. I love that the waistband is lined with Nulu.

The fabric is lightweight and slightly textured. Overall, I did feel like they are a bit too baggy, especially from the side view. The other thing that I wasn't super crazy about are the cinchable cords at the cuffs. They're a little distracting and can get in the way. These joggers are probably better suited for someone taller than me.

Definitely looks like parachute pants.

That's it for me! I hope you all have an awesome weekend!

  1. I like both styles of pants on you! I was wondering if the crinkle waistband on the wide leg pants would be annoying/bulky, but it looks really cute!

I went ahead and ordered the WovenAir Cinchable Cuff Jogger when I saw it had gone on markdown, but I ordered XXS. Hopefully I chose right. I'm still trying to figure out the alpha sizing. My inner 90's child is excited about the parachute pants style :)

I'm looking forward to your Quince review. I just did a quick scan of their website, and it looks like their prices are pretty reasonable. Too bad they don't ship to Canada, though.

    1. Hi Lola! Ohh let me know how you like the WovenAir Jogger. I'm not quite sure about the alpha sizing myself. Sometimes the XS works, but sometimes I prefer size small. For the wide legs I loved the XS. I would totally wear them to work. Hopefully I can snag them if they hit WMTM.

Ahhh, Quince will ship to Canada soon! The prices are very reasonable.

    2. I received the WovenAir Joggers, and I chose right with sizing (yay!). The cords at the bottom are a little annoying, but I tied them in a couple of knots so they wouldn't flop around as much. Other than that, they are really comfy!

    3. Yay! So glad you like them and got the right size. What color did you end up getting?

    4. I went with the Army Green. I really liked the look of the ivory, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to keep them clean, lol!

    5. Great choice! It's the best one of the three colors available.

  2. Hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The woven cropped wide leg pants remind me of Athleta's Brooklyn cargo pants. I find those very comfortable and size P2 fits me perfectly. I'm undecided if I should return them because the wide legs seem to overwhelm my 5'2" stature. May be cropped lengths are easier to carry for petites because I do love my Avenue wide leg cropped pants. It's too bad that Athleta discontinued this style. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Karen! Ah yes they are very similar to Athleta's Brooklyn and Avenue pants. I have the Avenue crops. The length on the Lulu version is slightly longer and the ruffle waist is really cute. I hear you on the wide leg, I feel the same way at times!

    1. Hi Jean L! I am hearing a lot of good things about their cashmere too. It will be interesting to see how it compares to some of my favorite Naked Cashmere pieces. If it's comparable, it may be a game changer.

  4. Looking forward to seeing your Quince haul! One of my favorite pieces is their organic cotton cropped cardigan - quality seems high, the cut is so stinkin cute and forgiving, and it goes with everything.

    1. I did have that in my cart, but took it out. If I end up loving the items ordered, I'm sure the organic fisherman cardigan will be in my next order!

  6. The ruffle waist wide leg crop is PERFECT on you!!! I don't usually like frilly waistbands cause they look bulky with longer shirts but I think these are very cute :D - Janessa

    1. Hi Janessa! Thanks, I think they are quite flattering and hope to snag a pair on WMTM, but I think they will probably sell out in my size though.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
