Review! Coach Western Tabby

Hey everyone! I've been eyeing the Coach Western Tabby bag for months. I finally pulled the trigger and it's everything I had hoped it would be, except for one issue that turns out to be a dealbreaker for me. However, I would still highly recommend this bag.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

If you have 8 minutes to spare, in this video I cover what fits, all the details of the bag and mod shots.

I love the look of this bag, it gives a vintage vibe, and the color Burnished Amber is a beautiful chestnut brown. The leather is smooth and it's soft enough that it will show scratches, but I think it's the kind of bag where scratches will add to its charm and personality.

The reason I'm returning this bag is because the crossbody strap is too long, even on its shortest setting. In the photo below, you can see the length of the strap extends past the cargo pocket and I think it just looks too busy. It also hits slightly too low on my body. Visually, it looks fine, but it feels too low.

If I liked wearing bags on my shoulder, I probably would have kept it. However, my shoulders just slant downwards too much and within minutes, the strap would slide right off.

Trust me, it really pains me that I am returning this bag. If you're wondering if I could swap the straps for something else, you really can't. It would be extremely hard to find another strap with the same width that would fit perfectly in the belt buckle.

Let's take a close look at the details of this bag.

I'm a huge fan of contrast stitching. It's something that always catches my eye. The color Burnished Amber is my favorite shade of brown. This bag has a ton of organizational pockets. The side cargo pockets can fit an Airpod case. The back slip pocket can easily fit a large phone.

These buckles are for design purposes only.

This pocket can fit an Airpods case and I love the turnlock closure.

The bottom does have feet, but they are so tiny, it's almost non existent.

Comes with a Coach hang tag.

I love the magnetic snap closure. The flap opens up to another large slip pocket that can fit a large phone and the bag is lined in this gorgeous honey suede. There's a zippered pocket on the inside of the bag as well.

To see what fits, check out my video! 😊

Overall, this is a fantastic bag. It just so happens the strap is too long for me. This does happen from time to time. It's pretty annoying to be honest, because I would have loved to add this bag to my collection. That's all for me! I hope you have an amazing start to a brand new week!

    1. Hi AC! I'm glad you found it helpful! It was so close, but I have to be mindful of what bags I keep. =)

  3. As another short girl, do you ever consider seeing a cobbler? They can add new holes in straps and sometimes even grommets.

    1. That's a good question. As someone who buys and sells bags as often as I do, I typically do not modify my bags as it affects resale. If a bag doesn't fit me, I'll just return because I know there will be other bags out there that catch my eye!

  4. Beautiful bag indeed! Thanks for sharing detailed photos of different angles. Going to resign up for your emails, didn't get your updates for a little while. Lately, I've been back on the Coach wagon again. I'm not a Gen Z, but thought this video was interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFoUBRfwzWQ

    1. Hi Jean L! I love the Coach is popular with Gen Z, but to be fair, Coach has been hitting it out of the ballpark with their designs lately. Amazing quality for affordable prices. I'm looking forward to see what Coach will have for this fall season.

Oh, the emails are supposed to start up again for tomorrow but there will be some changes. It will be going out once a week instead of 3 times a week and set to go out for Friday's post.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
