Review! Hermes Evelyne TPM Gold Clemence

This is my first Hermes review and I'm super excited to share this one with you. Hermes is supposed to be the best in the world when it comes to luxury handbags. I've been dying to get my hands on one just to experience it in person. I wanted to know why people love their Hermes bags with such fervor. For years I always wanted a Birkin or a Kelly, but I realized that the fussy closure would drive me crazy. I decided to try other styles that are less popular and thankfully also less expensive.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

Starting with some mod shots, this bag is tiny! It looks great on my petite frame, but the strap is not adjustable. It is however, removable and you could technically swap the strap out for something else. Personally, I love the Hermes strap, it feels soft and comfortable, but it's just too long on me. You can only wear this as a crossbody or over the shoulder. If you wanted to, you could swap the strap out and turn it into a shoulder bag.

I highly suggest watching this video to see what can fit in this tiny bag and I also compare it to my Mulberry small Antony bag since they are similar in style. I've had the Antony bag for four months now and it's a great crossbody when you only carry your essentials.

I purchased this bag pre-owned but the condition is brand new. The original owner paid $2200 plus tax in 2024. In my video at the time of filming, I had believed the current retail price was $2300, but I did some more research and Hermes has it listed as $2425 on their website. That's a 10% increase for this bag.

This is Taurillon Clemence leather made from bull-calf hide and it has beautiful pebbled grain that has a semi-matte finish. I typically prefer smooth leather because it tends to be softer, but Hermes has a process that softens the skin by tumbling it in a large rotating drum. Drummed leather feels more luxurious and supple. If you are a leather lover like me, you will not be disappointed. I honestly get why Hermes fans are so loyal to their bags. Inside is lined with suede and it feels like silk. Everything, down to the stitching looks and feels high quality.

Palladium hardware and the stitching is impeccable.

Dainty snap closure.

I'm sure you're all dying to know. Will I be keeping this bag? The answer is no! Are you surprised? I find it to be too small for my needs and the fact that the crossbody strap is not adjustable was a deal breaker for me. I hear there is a slightly bigger version of this bag coming out later this fall. I'm only going to be interested if the strap is adjustable. For $2425 without an djustable strap is just crazy to me. That said, I will keep searching for another Hermes bag to add to my collection. Stay tuned!

That is it for me! I'll see you in July! Have a great Monday!

    1. Thank you! And they keep going up too. At least once a year. =(

  2. I am not really surprised as you’re typically pretty practical when it comes to reasons to keep bags. It seemed too small for any purposes really 😅

    1. Hi AC! There is a slightly larger one coming out in the fall, I'll have to see if the strap is adjustable. But yeah, this bag is just too small.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
