Fit Review Friday! Lightweight Foldover Waist Jogger, Hood Lite Relaxed Fit Jacket, Hotty Hot HR Short 2.5 inch

Happy Friday! It feels like it's been awhile since I had a proper Lululemon fit review. Today's review was surprising for me. I actually liked the Lightweight Foldover Waist Jogger and the Hood Lite Relaxed Fit Jacket. But did I like them enough to hand over my credit card? 😆

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon. I'm still trying to figure out the letter sizing and it's kind of been all over the place, especially in today's review! Also, lots of accessories popped up on WMTM today. It's worth checking out.

Initially I wasn't crazy about the fabric as it is made out of nylon fabric shell, but the foldover waist feels like Nulu. It's really soft and comfortable. The jogger is lined in lightweight Swift fabric. I love the color. Mauve Gray looks really pretty, it's a very pale lavender-gray. Since it is lined, this would be a great transitional jogger.

Fit is slightly oversized and baggy in the pant leg, but it's on trend with today's streetwear. The fabric is a bit wrinkly, which I don't love. I'm wearing size XS and it runs large. The waist is very roomy, but that's also why it's super comfy. These are full length joggers, but it wasn't terribly long since the cuff is loose at the ankle and the extra fabric drapes well. For the price of $128, I decided to pass. But if these became available at a nice marked down price, I might reconsider. What do you think of these joggers?

Next up, we have the Hood Lite Relaxed Fit Jacket. When I felt the fabric of this jacket, it made me curious enough to try it on. It feels soooo lightweight and I would describe it as tissue-thin. It would be perfect for rainy days in Hotlanta. It's water repellant and wind resistant.

I'm wearing size XXXS. Yes, you read that right. I told you, the sizing is wild! I've never been an XXXS in my life. At least not in Lululemon. 😅 Fit is comfortable since it is relaxed. Length of the jacket hits at the hip. The sleeve length was only a tad too long, but I'm not going to complain about it. Not super crazy about the drawstrings at the waist.

I love the color, but I wish they had more neutral colors to choose from. Most of the color choices are bright or pastel.

Love the dual entry pockets on this jacket. Snap closures at the top and zippered pockets on the side.

Overall, I really like this jacket. Price is $128 which I think is fair. Not great, but okay. My only concern is how thin the fabric feels. I wonder if it would get damaged easily. I would definitely consider getting one on markdown. I hate carrying umbrellas and I feel like this would be a good alternative!

Last but not least we have another pair of Hotty Hot Shorts in Mauve Gray. I am really obsessed with this color but the shorts did not "wow" me.

I think the color looks a little drab against my skin tone. I'm sure the terrible lighting in the fitting room didn't help. I'm wearing my usual size 4. I think the Lightweight Foldover Joggers looked more flattering because it was full length. The color just doesn't look great next to my pale skin. In the end I walked out with nothing!

That's all for me today, hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  1. Hi Leslie. This is off topic but i was looking at your old reviews of the vuori halo performance hoodie 2.0 vs the OG. Interestingly enough, you said the 2.0 was a tad longer but I was told by a vuori employee that the redesigned version is supposed to be slightly shorter. From looking at your picture and comparing them, they look pretty much the same length on you. Do you own both versions? Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy! I no longer have either of those hoodies. I prefer the Modern Full Zip. I didn't like the fitted sleeves on the 2.0 and OG. The modern hoodie is more roomy.

    2. The Modern Full Zip is also shorter in length.

    3. Thanks Leslie. But do you remember if the OG was longer than the 2.0? I was curious about the modern too. I’m moving away from tight clothing. However there is a colour in the performance hoody called shade heather that I’m in love with

    4. It was a long time ago. I think the 2.0 was a little longer? But fairly similar in length TBH.

  2. I had completely passed over both the Foldover Waist Jogger and the Hood Lite Jacket until I saw your reviews. I kind of like them both now! Do the pants make the swishy noise when you move? I don't think I'd pay regular price for either of those items, but I would possibly check them out on markdown.

    1. Hi Lola! I was surprised too. I've added both to my cart and hope they go on markdown. I didn't notice a swishy noise when I tried them on, but if there is, it's probably minimal.

  3. I didn’t like the joggers when I first saw them in store, but they are growing on me! They look super comfy.

I did end up getting Dark Red Align 6” shorts this week. I couldn’t pass up Dark Red and now am on the lookout for a bra. We also got in a Dark Red cropped Define, Hotty Hot, Love Crew, Align 4” short, Scuba, and Adapted State Joggers.

    1. Hi LZ! I was in the same mindset. Didn't like it when I saw it online, but in person it's much better. They're super comfy.

I love Dark Red, but I can't seem to pull it off. Maybe I could do it in a pair of shorts. I don't see the shorts online yet, but will keep an eye out!

    2. I love Dark Red - and think it looks great on every skin tone. I'm as pale as it gets and still love it. Hopefully everything releases online tomorrow. We tend to get a few things early in-store, and they are already sold out!

    3. That's a good point. I'll give it another try!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
