New Releases Week of March 18th 2025

So I ended up breaking my No Buy Challenge for Athleta's Retreat Linen Mid Rise Short. They're still currently half off and the Friends & Family Event has now opened up to everyone. I'll keep you all posted if I end up keeping the shorts or not.

Today's drop has a lot of Sonic Teal. I kind of like it with the gold zipper. But not in the mood for thick hoodies anymore, it's finally starting to warm up in Atlanta and I've already started wearing my thinner hoodies. Nothing for me as I slink back into my No Buy mode. We're more than halfway through the month and I want to finish up strong.

(This looks really pretty!)

(Really wish they didn't have the branding front and center. 😕)

(This is interesting but definitely not for me. What are your thoughts on this set?)

  1. I like the ravaged by a lion look, personally I can’t pull it off, but I’m sure it looks really nice on others! I also like how it’s a twist on the peep holes/slits in leggings look, but just migrated north now.

  2. I like the top of the Cutout bra, but the bottom looks like it ripped or something. The leggings are cute but not for me either.

I saw Sonic Teal in person on Monday, and it's really pretty! If I didn't already have Storm Teal in a bra and Swiftly, I would pick up that set. Maybe on sale later...

    1. Hi LZ! Ohhh if I stop by the store this weekend I'll keep an eye out for Sonic Teal. It looks great for spring.

I like the top more than the bottom too for the Cutout line.

  3. Sonic Teal is really pretty! I'm not tempted this week though.

I also broke my no buy last weekend when Forever 21 announced they were closing. My daughter loves their cargo jean shorts. She wears them every day in the summer. So, she asked me to get her a few pairs. Everything was 70-80% off, so I'm sorry to say that in my hunt to find the shorts and a few fun Hello Kitty items for her, a few things for myself fell into my basket. A Hello Kitty ghost sweatshirt (so cute for school!) Some fun keychains for purse accessories, a pair of jeans and a necklace. I really made myself think it over though and deleted a couple of items before checking out. At least I was more mindful in my purchases and less impulsive. Trying to be really good for the rest of the month now!! :)

    1. Hi Stacy! Still amazing that you were more mindful about what you were buying and you thought about it before checking out. I take that as a win. I did the same thing with the shorts. I was almost going to get a linen top to go with, but decided not to.

Good job!! Just 12 more days until April. =)

  4. I really like the sheer oak color! It’s a nice beige brown color that isn’t too nude and I would like some things in it like a hat and I like it in the Shake it Out running shorts. I haven’t tried it but I like how it looks like a skort -Janessa

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
