Fit Review! Vuori Boyfriend Sweatpant Jogger and My April Wish List!

I can't believe it! It's the last day of March and my No Buy Challenge will be over. If you joined me this month, how did you do? I did break it once for two pairs of Athleta Retreat Linen Mid Rise Shorts. They arrived and I really love them! I'm excited for April to begin so I can buy a few things that are on my wish list. 😅 I'll get into that after this Vuori review, joggers purchased in February.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Vuori. PXS in Athleta and size 4/6 in Lululemon.

I normally wear XS in Vuori Performance Joggers, but the Boyfriend Sweatpant Jogger runs just a little bigger and I can fit the XXS. I could have worn the XS as well, they would just be a little bit baggier. Either size would have been fine. Just depends on the look you want.

Zion Rose Heather is so pretty, it's a gorgeous mauvy-pink that I couldn't pass up. I prefer wearing these joggers with the waistband rolled down since the pant seat sits a little lower in this style. The length measures 26.5" and they're just slightly too long on me, but I don't mind.

That said, I am looking forward to purchasing a few more items from Vuori in April. Here's my wish list.

(This color is currently sold out, but will be keeping an eye out for a restock.)

(Fully stocked!)

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Ochre Suede or the Navy. Someone help me make a decision!

(I wouldn't mind another pair of workout shorts.)

Have a fabulous Monday!

  1. Congratulations on another successful no-buy month! I'm going for a low-buy in April as well - I have a couple of gift certificates that I might use, but I'm going to reign in the spending from now on.

I can't wait to see some more Vuori reviews! I'm not really looking at their stuff anymore, as the prices on the Canadian site (plus shipping) make me cringe. The Villa Cargo Joggers look really cute though!

I vote for the navy bag, mostly because I'm not really a suede person. Also, you have quite a few earth-toned bags, don't you? I don't think either one would be a bad choice, however.

    1. Thanks Lola! I am thinking I may do this every other month. It's definitely changing my shopping habits for the better. I'm a little more disciplined and more intentional about what I'm actually buying. There will be more store try-on posts from me.

I agree, Vuori is pricey and I don't shop there that often. Just a few times a year. I wish there was a store closer to me.

I do have a lot of cognac/camel colored bags. I just really love that golden brown color. But agree, the Navy will be more practical over the suede. Thanks for the vote!

  2. I’m loving the bags on your wish list. It will be fun to see which you end up with.

I failed on my no-buy March. It was hard because the new spring stuff came out and after a long cold winter (much worse than normal) I wanted all the spring things. Now that I stocked up (3 pants, 2 shirts, shorts, casual purse from Athleta, and a concert shirt) I think I’m just ready to wear the new stuff and not buy more.

    1. Thanks! I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the Coach one first. =D

You can try a No Buy April or join me again on my next one, which might be in May! But sounds like you're all ready for spring.

  3. I definitely love the Songmont bag in ochre more!! I think the color is so beautiful but I tend to like warmer colors. I do like cool blues and grays too but the ochre catches my eye more.

Good job on your no buy! I am staying mindful of my purchases but I have bought a lot this month… I am excited to see what you order from Varley! I do like the boyfriend joggers you’re wearing a lot. I am into baggy joggers than fitted ones and like to pair with a fitted top :D

    1. Also that polene mini bag is soooo pretty! I think if you have another warm tone bag you’re eyeing then get the navy cause leather cleans easier than suede

    2. Hi Janessa! Ahhh a vote for the Ochre! I agree, the color is just so pretty, and I am a sucker for the golden browns... Varley is pricey, but I really want to try a top from them. I feel like they're better for the cooler temperatures. Do I get it now and just wait until fall to wear it? LOL. Agree, the Polene bag is super cute, that color is sold out right now. Will have to wait for a restock.

  4. hi Leslie! I like the bags you shared, especially the Songmont Gather bag and Polene's Mokki mini! Among the four you posted, which one's on the top of your list? I think the Gather bag would be very practical for casual wear, but I love the unique shape of the Mokki mini. Tough choices!

    1. Hi Karen! I think I'm going to get the Coach one first, easiest one to return if I don't like it. Polene and Songmont seem to be harder to return. But the Polene is out of stock in that color. So will have to wait. Coach Empire, then Songmont. Just have to decide on the Ochre or Navy. Any thoughts on color? I need another vote!

    2. I agree the Coach empire is gorgeous! I found it a bit heavy when I tried it on at the store, but it may work out for you if you don't carry too much. For the Songmont gather bag, the Ochre Suede looks luxurious and will pair well with mauve, pink, purple and neutrals, so my vote goes to suede!

    3. Hopefully it won't be too heavy, I don't carry a lot, so it should be fine. Thanks! Another vote for suede. =)

  5. Hi Leslie,
I’m not a navy person but would vote for the Songmont Small Gather Bag in Navy cos the color is really pretty plus it looks more interesting in leather texture.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
