Fit Review Friday! Store Try Ons Athleta Midday Cropped Shirt, Seasoft Ribbed Crewneck Sweatshirt, Coaster Luxe Waffle High Rise Jogger

Happy Friday! Pretty good WMTM update for those not participating in this No Buy challenge. Lots of Crater Blue and Passionate items went on markdown.

Today's post is from last month when I finally was allowed to indulge a little and I went to Athleta. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

This button-up shirt is actually really comfortable. I always like to layer these underneath a cardigan for the office, but this is the first time I tried it underneath a pullover sweatshirt and really like the look! Photos coming below.

I'm wearing size XS and while it's slightly relaxed, it is quite comfortable. I love pairing it with the Seasoft Ribbed Crewneck Sweatshirt in Shadow Blue. The length of the Midday Cropped Shirt works perfectly with the sweatshirt.

(on sale $69)

How cute is this look? I'm wearing size XS in the Seasoft Ribbed Crewneck Sweatshirt. It is true to size. Sleeves are a tad long, but not terrible.

I'm wearing my Varley joggers here and I love them, but the color doesn't look quite right with the blue sweatshirt, so I put on the Coaster Luxe Waffle High Rise Jogger in Light Gray Heather and my smile says it all. 😅 Perfection!

Sooooo, I ended up getting this whole outfit. 😂 It's cute tho, right? I don't know if it really does make me look slimmer in real life, but I definitely felt more confident. And at least I got them on sale.

Confidence is everything.

I have been shopping at Athleta way more than Lululemon so far this year. In fact, I still haven't bought a single thing from Lululemon in 2025. We'll see if that changes in April. Where are you shopping this year? I am curious to see if it's just me. Let me know in the comments below. Have a wonderful weekend!

(I was eyeing this for the longest time, but now my size is sold out. I guess it's for the best since I'm on my no buy challenge!)

  1. Your new outfit looks great! I bought the same button-up shirt in white.

In addition to my Athleta purchases (the shirt, linen pants that I need to exchange for a smaller size, a purse) I bought four other items in February.

—a Bogg Bag purse from a local department store
—a half-price Smartwool top from the same department store
    —a silk bandana from Echo
—a long sleeve but lightweight North Face top from Ross

I haven’t really been tempted by anything yet in March. I stop to think of my current lifestyle and the size of my closet and the state of my bank account. And I say no.

    1. Hi there! Thank you! I am debating picking up the button up in white next month if it's still available.

It seems like you prefer to shop in store vs online? I do a bit of both. I think I would like to add a pair of linen pants to my closet. I have a couple pairs of shorts, but I think pants are more useful.

Agree, lots of uncertainty at the moment. I can see myself doing a low buy this year.

    2. I do prefer shopping in person. For a long time I lived in a big city where that was very easy to do. A couple years ago I moved to a much smaller city where I have to drive about an hour to my favorite stores in the bigger city. That was doable. Then I got my puppy. She’s still too young to either leave or take with me to shop.

That said, I always ordered a lot online from Athleta because they do not carry petites in the store. But at least I was able to try stuff on to know which size, but in the petite version, to order.

    3. I do the same thing. I have to order the petite sizing from Athleta if the regular sizing doesn't work for me (usually the pants). I can usually get away with XS or XXS from their tops though. The store I go to is about 20 minutes away which is great if I have to return something.

  2. I love the outfit! It's so cute and flattering on you! I can definitely see all those pieces as work wear, together and individually. I think they were great purchases.

I managed to go through a few shelves of craft items last week and get rid of some things, so that was a good start. Hopefully, I'll do more this weekend.

    1. Hi Stacy! Thank you so. much!

Nice! I am also working on donating/things I no longer use. I plan on doing that this weekend also. Also want to clean out my nightstand drawer. I don't know how it gets so cluttered!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
