Fit Review Friday! Athleta Seasoft Rib Crewneck, Seasoft Mid Rise Straight Crop, Midday Cropped Shirt

Happy Friday! I went to get my annual check up and I received a pneumonia vaccine. It completely wiped me out afterwards. My blood pressure is also a bit low. Unsure why, waiting to hear back from the lab. The joys of getting older. 😆

Athleta's Friends and Family Event is still happening. 30% off everything. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

I reviewed these two items in the last Athleta post, but I took some more photos in case someone wanted to see how it looked as a matching set. I'm not sure I can pull it off? I think it looks better worn separately. What do you guys think? I feel like the color needs to be broken up with a vest or something.

Pyrite is a really nice neutral, it's like a light mocha brown. It can look darker depending on the lighting.

This button up is the Midday Cropped Shirt. I don't normally like white tops because I'm such a klutz, but I think this is going to be very versatile as a layer underneath cardigans and sweatshirts.

The length is cropped but not overly so on my petite frame. I think it's a great length especially if wearing under a sweatshirt/cardigan. It is slightly sheer though if you are wearing it on its own.

I could have gotten away with XXS, as this is a pretty relaxed fit, but I don't mind the look. It's a very casual vibe and I dig it with the Seasoft pants. I could almost get away with wearing this to the office I think, maybe not with the Allbirds though.

I'm pretty tired from this vaccine, so I am keeping this post short! Have a fantastic weekend everyone! Zzzzzzzzz.... I'm out. 😴

  1. I love both of those Seasoft pieces, but I don't think I love them together. Pyrite is a great neutral and I think pairing it with something with a little more color could be fun.

Sorry to hear your vaccination kicked your butt, and I hope the low blood pressure turns out to be nothing. Rest up this weekend!

    1. Hi Lola! Thanks, my blood work came back fine. Not sure why my BP was low. Doctor doesn't seem to have any insight. Hopefully it was an anomaly and goes back to normal.

  2. Hi Leslie,
Thanks for another great fit review!

I love Athleta’s Seasoft bottoms and ordered the crop in Pyrite as well. I have the Cozy Karma Twist Neck Sweatshirt in Pyrite which I love, but the colors are usually more faded in Seasoft material. Can’t wait to see how the Pyrite Crop looks in person.

In my opinion, the crewneck sweatshirt and the crop are both nice items but I would wear them separately. Every time I pair my Seasoft Crewneck Sweatshirt with a pair of Seasoft bottoms, it gives me PJ vibes. : D

Have a wonderful weekend, Leslie, and I hope you’ll feel better soon!

    1. Hi Andrea! Yeah I was thinking it looks a bit too much like PJs. haha! Will be wearing them separately. Maybe if the crewneck was a zip up hoodie instead it might look better.

Thanks! Will take a relaxing weekend.

  3. What kind of material is the mid day cropped shirt like? Is it more on the cotton/linen side or the synthetic side (like some of their brooklyn pants and such)?

Love your blog by the way!

    1. Hi Meech! Thank you so much! It's made out of polyester, it sort of feels like the Brooklyn pant but slightly thicker, just slightly and not as silky. I would have thought it had some cotton added just a touch. I really like it though! It's very comfy.

  4. Hope you are rebounding from your vaccine. I’m a bit older than you. I felt much the same way after my shingrix (shingles) shots. You need 2 of them. But I think it’s worth it to feel bad for a day or two rather than the alternative.

    1. Thank you, I am feeling better today. It took about 2 days to recover. I'm not looking forward to getting the shingles shot. =T

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
