Fit Review Friday! Store Try On Stretch Spacer High Rise Pant and Sleek City Jacket

Happy Friday! It's my birthday (6th) so this will be short and sweet. I am planning a birthday post and will combine it with some money talk if you're curious about how much I ended up spending last month on my No Buy January challenge. It was very eye opening!

Today's post we have a store try-on fit review at Lululemon. There's a lot more of these posts coming!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

Apologies for the photos. It was very challenging trying to work with low lighting and dirty mirrors. 😆 This was a fit request from someone, sorry I can't remember who it was at the moment. I was super surprised at the length of these pants. They're supposed to be 7/8 length which to my best guess the inseam is probably around 26 inches or 26.5 inches. They are perfectly petite friendly with my Allbirds. I also really like the seams going down the pant leg, it's flattering and helps elongate my short inseam.

I'm wearing size small which equivalent to a size 4/6. They are high rise, and they do cover my belly button. Also these are very slim fit and fairly tight with only a little bit of stretch.

Next up, we have the Sleek City Jacket. I keep trying this jacket on and go back and forth between size 4 and 6. I think size 4 is more flattering but the 6 is more comfortable. Also the sleeves are ridiculously long.

It looks super cute in Bone, but I'm also liking Blue Oasis as well. I may pull the trigger if they go on markdown and get the sleeves hemmed. Does anyone have this jacket and would like to share their experience and if you would recommend it?

It's a really great length in the back for petites. That is it for me, let me know in the comments below if there's a fit review you would like to see and I'll try and make it happen! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Happy birthday, Leslie! Did you go to a special restaurant to celebrate this year? I look forward to reading your birthday and money post!

Both the Stretch Spacer pants and Sleek City jacket look good on you! These days, I'm all about comfort. I like the dressier look of the Stretch Spacer pants, but if the waistband is tight and isn't very stretchy, I'll have to pass. Thanks for the fit review!

    1. Hi Karen! Thank you for the birthday wishes, and yes we went to a Michelin star restaurant. I'll have lots of pictures for you. =)

Yes sadly the Stretch Spacer pants aren't very stretchy in the waist. =(

  2. Happy birthday, Leslie! I hope you had a fun day!

Thank you for the fit review of the Stretch Spacer pants! I'm very intrigued by them, but I'd like to see if they release some more colors before I commit to possibly getting a pair.

The Sleek City Jacket is such a cool style, but what is up with that sleeve length? Lulu really needs to offer petite sizing!

    1. Thanks Lola! It was a nice relaxing day. Yeah those sleeves are ridiculous!! I have never had sleeves hemmed from Lulu. I wonder if they even offer it?

  3. Happy birthday! Good food is definitely a great way to spend a birthday 🥳

That jacket is nice, but other than the ridiculous sleeves, not sure if it’s too cropped? As I get older, I feel like keeping the cold out with longer lengths is preferable 😅

    1. Thanks AC! True, it's borderline. Great length if it's not too windy. I guess maybe for 50 degree weather?

  4. Happy Birthday, Leslie! I hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones.

Thanks for another great review. The Sleek City Jacket looks really cool but seeing it in person at a store, I knew it would be too short for my liking and didn’t even bother to try it on. :(

I personally am not fond of cropped tops and usually opt to go one size up. However, it doesn’t work for all styles.

    1. Hi Andrea! Thank you so much, I'll be celebrating through the weekend. =)

Yes, I suppose it's probably better I pass on it since I can't decide on the sizing. It does look really sleek though haha.

    1. Thank you Jean L! I did take the day off from work. I always do that no matter what. Going to the office on your birthday just sucks the soul right outta me. LOL.

  6. Happy birthday Leslie!! I hope you have the most wonderful day :D!! I love all your fit reviews and think the pants are very flattering!
I should find out how much sleeve hemming is cause that would be amazing for so many lulu jackets

    1. Hi Janessa! I should check with the stores first to see if they offer complimentary sleeve hemming. I would think for a basic sleeve, they could do it...

    2. hi! didn't you purchase the lululemon sleek city jacket last year: https://www.petiteimpact.com/2023/12/fit-review-friday-my-lululemon-black.html?

    3. I did! And then I returned it last minute because it was Bone - wasn't sure if I could keep it clean and it was a size 4 which kept me second guessing if I should size up because of it's too perfect fit. I couldn't layer underneath size 4. Since I keep waffling back and forth between size 4 and 6 means I should probably just skip this jacket and move on...

    4. Hope you had the best birthday, Leslie!

I like the jacket - love jackets! - but just don't need another one now.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
