Review! Mooncat X Star Wars Collection - Embrace The Dark Side
Hey everyone, this is a special post. Someone mentioned wanting to see more Mooncat posts, so of course I have to oblige. I confess, I am a Mooncat addict! My collection has exploded since I discovered them about two years ago. By the way, this is not a sponsored post. I don't get any kind of commission or kickback at all. I just really adore this brand. It speaks to my gothy/artistic side.
This is also one of my favorite December purchases. I could not contain my excitement when Mooncat revealed their Star Wars limited edition collection. Some polishes are currently sold out, but they will restock at least once, so check back in a few weeks if the one you want is out of stock. I had to buy the whole set. Mooncat really nailed this collab down to the packaging details. As a nail polish addict, this set is very special and so good.
The photos here really don't do it justice. I would suggest heading over to their website to fully experience the collection. This collection is focused on the Dark Side. Mooncat has stated if this collection does well, they would consider making another collection for the Light Side. I really hope they do!
There are seven polishes in this collection and all are magnetic except for one- Star Destroyer. You can of course wear them unmagnetized. Magnetics are a lot of work, but it's so worth the extra time and effort. In case you were wondering, a magnetic wand is included for free with purchase.
I'm still working my way through the Star Wars collection. But so far, loving the three I've tried. I usually change out my manicure once a week, typically on Sundays so I have a fresh manicure for Monday. Mooncat polishes always last a full week for me without any chipping. I also use cuticle oil a couple of times a day and I always wear gloves when doing the dishes. Here are a few more of my favorite Mooncat polishes.
These were my Halloween nails. I was aiming for Dexter's blood spatter. And yes, I did these myself! It took me forever, but I was very pleased with the results.
Lastly, if you're interested I just posted a Strathberry double unboxing and first impressions of the bags on my Youtube Channel. This was one of my last December purchases (I told you I was really bad!) I was curious if they would pass my luxury test. I'll have a full review up next week. That's it for me today. I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia.
