Review! Birkenstock Buckley Shearling Slipper in Suede

Can you believe this is the last week of January? I just wanted to share my new pair of slippers I bought in December. I've been wearing them for over a month now as house slippers. I did get them on sale, for a great price. Unfortunately, this color is no longer available but I have linked to other colors.

For reference I'm usually size 5.5 and for Birkenstocks I wear size 35 medium/narrow.

Size 35 Medium/Narrow

Ugg and Sorel, which were my go-to brands for slippers just weren't cutting it for me anymore. They don't seem to last very long, so I decided to try these Birkenstock shearling slippers since they were on sale for half off. The upper is premium suede, very soft and supple. The entire inside is lined with shearling. I love the feeling. It's also pretty warm. I say that because the back half of your feet are exposed and only your front part of your feet are covered.

Size 35 Medium/Narrow

The buckle on the outside is a working buckle and adjustable. I did play with the notches to find the right fit for my feet. The bottom doesn't have a lot of traction, but that's okay since I'm wearing them strictly indoors. They are super comfortable.

As for sizing, I am wearing size 35 medium/narrow and it is a perfect fit. If I were to wear these with thick socks, I would choose the wide width option. I am hoping these will last me a few winters! I'm glad I took the plunge. Do you have a pair of Birkenstocks? I would love to try another pair for everyday walking, but unsure which style to try. Does anyone have suggestions?

That's it for me! See you all on Tuesday. 😊
Have a wonderful start to the last week of January!

  1. How much were they on sale? Clicked your link and no Birkenstocks were on sale on Zappos, unless you had a coupon? Been thinking about some sort of slip on clogs or something to what you shared in the post... still debating.

    1. Hi Jean L! Only this color was on sale and it's sold out. I got them for a little under $100. I tried looking to see if other websites had sales and couldn't find any at the moment. =(

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
