New Releases Week of January 28th 2025

Lots of Lavender Lux today. Not really a fan of pastels as much, but it is a pretty color and would work with some neutrals like gray and white. I am curious about the On My Level Small Tote Bag in 5L. It's only available on Early Access on the app for now. It's $78 and looks like a cute little bucket bag with a crossbody strap. Let me know if you bought anything and just a few more days left to go of the challenge!

Also - Happy Lunar New Year! Wishing you all a prosperous and happy year of the Snake. 😃

This is cute, I wish there were more photos of the inside though. If this is still available on February 1st, I'll pick it up!

  1. Did you see the price of the Everlux Relaxed Train Pant?? $268 CAD for nylon pants?! They describe them as "leather-like", so they're going to price them as if they ARE leather? I'm actually kind of offended, lol. At least they come in numerical sizing....

The upcoming bucket bag looks pretty cute, and I kind of like the Lavender Lux color, but nothing is screaming "buy me".

The Cityverse shoes arrived already, and I quite like them. In my opinion, they fit true to size. I went with my usual size 5. I lined up the soles with my Chargefeels, and they look to be the same width and length, however they are a little "bulkier", which makes sense, since they're a street shoe. I've been wearing them around the house for a couple of hours, and so far, they're totally comfy :)

    1. Hi Lola! Yes!! $248 and they're pretty yucky looking. Should have stuck to skinny legs or something. True- interesting that they went with numerical sizing on this style.

Ohhh thanks for letting me know! I do want to try a couple more pairs from Lulu. It's been a while since I gave them a shot.

  2. Hi Leslie,
I have a 5L On My Level Small Tote Bag from years ago which was a gift. It's not a new bag unless there are design changes, and you can google to see images of previous colors offered. Mine comes with a drawstring opening which I'm not particularly fond of. I can take you pictures if you want.

    1. Hi Andrea! I just googled it and I see what you mean about the drawstring opening. IThe description doesn't mention it for the new color, so I wonder if they changed the design. Now I am even more curious.

  3. Nothing new for me this week. I've been wearing my LNY Cityverse almost every day since they came in and love them so much. I'm used to having to break in casual sneakers, but they are comfy and ready for lots of walking from the start.

Our shifts got moved around, so I haven't been in store to try on the Daydrift Trousers yet. Hopefully this week!

    1. Hi LZ! Ohhhh I'm jealous. I love LNY version and not surprised it's completely sold out now. I got to try the Daydrift Trousers on over the weekend and neither the size XS or Small worked for me, way too much fabric all around. This one isn't meant for petites, at least if you're my height!

    2. I agree! I also just tried the XS and usually wear a 4. The waist is a little snug, but a size up would look ridiculously baggy. I didn’t mind the front, but the back was definitely not doing me any favors.

    3. Yep that was my issue with the XS, it was a bit too snug in the waist and hip area for me. The Small was too baggy everywhere. =(

  4. Hi Leslie! Have you tried the softsteme joggers? Just wondering how much it will bunch up at the bottom for us petites. Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy! Yes I did get the Softstreme joggers and love them. They don't bunch much at all if you get the petite sizing. They are pretty baggy though.

    1. Oh sorry, shoot I read it wrong. I thought you were asking about the Seasoft joggers. I haven't tried the Softstreme joggers because the length is too long, I think they would bunch too much. But, I think maybe if you got the black pair, it might not look as bunchy. I don't know what the inseam is, but if I had to guess it's probably around 28 inches long since they're advertised as full length.

  6. Thanks Leslie. Maybe it’s worth a try. The bunchy bottom joggers seem to be a trend now anyways like the scuba joggers but I don’t think it’s a flattering look on petites in general

    1. I kind of agree, sort of makes us look even shorter, right?

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
