Happy New Year! Goodbye 2024 and Hello 2025 Goals!

Happy New Year!

Before I get into my goals for 2025, I just want to thank everyone who has visited my blog and took time to leave a comment. Thank you for your support. It really does mean a lot to me. This blog has become a small little community for us petites! I love seeing familiar names. Even if you leave me an anonymous comment, thank you. I hope this blog has helped each one of you whether it be to purchase something or maybe you decided, nope that's not for me after reading my review. Hopefully I also provided some entertainment along the way. With that, let's see what I have planned for 2025.

Old picture from 2015

#1 - Fitness and health. While I don't think I'll ever get back to what I used to be in 2015, it's really important as I get older that I reach 10,000 steps everyday. I usually do make it if I leave the house and go to the office. It's on my off days that I tend to sit around and just want to do-nothing all day. I'm still working out regularly, about four times a week and I'm pretty happy with that. By the end of 2025, I want my average daily steps to be 10K and over. This way if I get sick, I get some leeway. I also want to focus on strength. I would love to be able to to get some definition again, especially in my upper body.

This old Balenciaga is the color of money!

#2 - No Buy January. I'm going to start off by unsubscribing to a lot of emails. I end up deleting around 100 emails a day. I can always add them back on in February if I really want to. Somehow I doubt I will miss them. I'm going on a strict no shopping ban for the entire month of January. I plan on staying off the internet as much as possible. The internet is when I get into trouble and fall into little rabbit holes and just never seem to climb back out. I'm also going to focus on decluttering my closet. Sell what I can, and re-home/donate what I can't. I'm hoping to save a little money and pay off what I spent in December! I'm also going to be more mindful of my purchases this year. I kind of say this every year, but this year I'm really going to put more effort into what I keep.

#3 - Grow my Youtube channel. By the end of 2025, I want to reach 1000 subscribers. If you're interested in seeing my handbag collection/journey, please consider subscribing. I upload two videos a month and on Wednesdays I'll usually upload a 60 second short that will showcase my bag for the week. Purses are my biggest passion and also my biggest weakness. 😅 I'm excited to see which bags I will get to review for 2025.

#4 - Take my daily supplements. This was also on my list last year, and I couldn't get it to to stick. I just purchased this large pill box that should make it easier for me to remember to take my pills. I have a hard time swallowing a lot of pills in one shot, and need to spread it out throughout the day. This pill organizer will help me. Plus it's pink!

#5 - I want to limit my time on social media. Every Sunday night my iPhone sends me a notification that tells me how many hours per day, I've spent on my phone and it's pretty awful. However, I do read books on my phone. I don't have a kindle and I don't want to carry another thing in my purse, and I don't want physical books (because clutter) so I will buy the digital copy of the book and read it on an app on my phone. However, I do want to limit how much time I'm on Facebook, Instagram, and how much time I'm playing my Harry Potter game (guilty pleasure it's like Candy Crush but for Harry Potter fans.) I put a time limit on these three apps on my phone. I can spend one hour per day, in total on these three apps and then it will lock me out.

That's what I would like to accomplish for 2025. What's on your list?

  1. Thank you for all your hard work this past year with your blog and YouTube channel! Your reviews have been very helpful for me in making informed decisions about some of my purchases, and some of your reviews have let me live vicariously through you (those beautiful handbags!).

My only goal that I'm going to try to stick to this year is cutting down on the shopping. I'm with you - I fall down the internet-shopping rabbit hole as well! I have definitely been experiencing FOMO lately, and I need to be more rational. That's a good idea to unsubscribe from emails - if I don't know there's a sale, I won't feel like I have to shop a sale....

I like your personal goals for 2025, and I wish you all the best in attaining them!

    1. Hi Lola! Thank you for your continued support throughout the years. I really appreciate you!

Agree, I have to really think about what I'm going to bring into my life and if it is something I decide I need to have, I'll have to force myself to let go of something else in it's place. One in one out. I am still unsubscribing to emails today and will probably continue to do so the rest of the week. We got this!

  2. I love this post. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us. I look forward to reading your blog and will often search your archives when I'm thinking of purchasing something or searching for a previous color. I enjoy the heart and humor of your posts! There aren't many people IRL that want to talk Lulu or Vuori or Aviator Nation with me (at least, not the way I want in depthly discuss them), so you bring me joy!

For me, my goal is to declutter and not just my clothes. I plan to take on a little at a time, a couple times each week. Whether is a small drawer or a closet, getting rid of some stuff will help. I need to get past both my sentimental and "some day I'll use this" thoughts. Although, the sentimental, they don't make things like they used to part weighs on me more.

I also need to get more steps in on my off days.

    Happy 2025! Here's to a no-buy January! :)

    1. Hi Stacy! Thank you so much! I appreciate your support and happy to know that my archives are helpful. I wish Vuori would offer shorter inseams. I really haven't been interested in their offerings because of that. =(

Ohhh that's a good idea. I think I should also do that as well. Tackle a small corner in the house every weekend. Might be a good to make that a habit. Yes, I think about those things as well. The vintage part of me says the same thing. The quality has gone downhill so much these days while the price costs so much more! It happens to me when I have to let go my bags especially. I just have too many. It is hard to let go of things. For sentimental items, I find it helps to take a photo of it before letting go. Do a little photo shoot to remember it by.

Here's to Day 1! It was hard, not gonna lie! It'll get easier though. It's like a muscle that needs to be used. Happy New Year!

  3. This year I fell into two categories from your blog, it both helped me decide on some purchases and also be entertained by your try ons or purchases without buying anything! Thank you for your ongoing efforts on this blog as I am sure it is a lot of work with the videos as well.

I’m with you on the no buying and buying with intentionality. I will attempt the no buy January for sure and see how well I fare! I always have vague eat clean and fitness goals, but this year I have new targets that will hopefully keep me on track.

Have a great start to 2025! It arrived before you know it

    1. Hi AC! Thank you so much for stopping by regularly. =) I do think I'll be doing more store try-ons as I start to be more mindful of what I bring in to my closet. If I order something, it's more likely to stay. If I'm at a store, it's a little easier to leave behind.

Do share if you would like about your fitness goals! I'm going to try and eat things in moderation. I do want to try and get more protein into my meals. I'm terrible at tracking those sort of things though.

2024 really did fly by. Here's to a successful No Buy January!

    2. Oh I am really getting into swimming lately, so now it’s just getting to lungs to catch up to the ability to do laps with minimal breaks and within a certain time. The cardio out of the water certainly helps, so hopefully that motivates me a lot more on the all around fitness front!

    3. Ah, I can't swim!! It's one of those things I tried a few times over and over in my life but just can't seem to get the hang of it. Swimming is really great cardio though, you can do it!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
