Fit Review Friday! Banana Republic Merino Blend Flare Sleeve Cardigan and Italian Wool Cashmere Scarf and Mooncat X Star Wars!!!

Happy Friday! Before we get into today's review, I have to talk about Mooncat's newest collab with Star Wars!! Yep, you read that right. The collector's box and polishes are amazing. This limited edition drops on 12/13 at 9am eastern time. I'll have some photos at the end of this blog post. I cannot wait.

Today's review are two items that were on my fall/winter wish list. Banana Republic is having 40% off sale.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS in Banana Republic. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon and Petite XS in Athleta.

The flared sleeves really stood out to me and they honestly look amazing. I love the lines and the cut of the sleeve. The fabric is a merino wool blend. It feels very soft and is not itchy at all, but there is some static electricity going on that I'm not crazy about.

Even though this isn't petite sizing, the length of the cardigan hits at the hip. The sleeves are long, which I realize can get annoying especially if you have to use your hands a lot.

I love the tulip collar. Overall, it's a cute cardigan but after debating for a long time I ended up returning it based on the long length of the sleeves. I type a lot and think it would just get in the way. I do love the look though.

I did however, end up keeping this super soft wool cashmere scarf. It is oversized, but so perfect when it's freezing, which for some reason Atlanta this year is COLD! I wore it out a couple of times and really love how it looks. The purple and red work great together and will provide a nice pop of color against a neutral coat.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a terrific weekend!

Are you guys ready?!!!!

Drops 9am on 12/13

A total of 7 polishes. Sticker set and a glass file. I'm definitely getting all 7 polishes and the glass file. The box is Darth Vader! How amazing is this set?!

This polish is the first ever thermal magnetic polish. It changes color and you can magnetize it.

Just gorgeous!

This one is probably my favorite one. I just can't take it!!!

If you want to see more swatch photos, pop over to their Instagram page.

  1. Star Wars nail polish!!!!! I'm pining for the entire set, but I don't wear nail polish enough to justify getting the whole set (even though the Vader box is fantastic!). My two favorites are A Galaxy Far, Far Away, and Scum and Villainy. I wonder if they're planning on doing a Light Side set too......

I like the cardigan, but I agree, the sleeves are too long. A petite version would have been perfect. And the scarf is beautiful!

    1. Hi Lola!!! I placed my order at 9:07 lol. There is some speculation they might do a Light Side for May the 4th. That would be really cool. I guess we'll see. I do my nails every week, but my collection is so out of control right now. I need to give some away and get another case!

  2. I like the collar and body of the cardigan super cute! The sleeves could be shortened by a good 5” 😅

  3. My Mooncat came!! The polish is soooo pretty! I haven’t tried out all the colors yet but I tried one color and the shimmer is beautiful. The packaging is exceptional too! It came in a box with my four polishes inside. The Star Wars collection looks really cool! Thanks for the recommendation :D

    1. Also the cardigan would be cuter if the sleeves were balloon and cinched in. I feel like bell sleeves would drag over and touch food if I reach over the dinner table -Janessa

    2. Hi Janessa! So glad you're liking the Mooncat polish! If you have any questions about it, let me know. I've been using their polishes for a couple of years now. Which color is your favorite?

True, the flared sleeves are cute but just not very practical.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
