Fit Review Friday! Scuba Oversized Full Zip Hoodie and Scuba Full Zip Hoodie Plush

Happy Friday! I have a couple of posts dedicated to Twilight Rose. This is part one. I ordered both Scuba Full Zip hoodies in the oversized fit and the plush version but I'm only going to keep one.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

I'm wearing my usual size 4 in Scuba Plush hoodies. The sizing hasn't changed from previous years, at least I couldn't tell the difference, if any. It's still fitted but not as tight as the Define or even the OG Scuba Hoodie. It's softer and has a bit more wiggle room. The best part is the plushy velour on the inside of the hoodie, which is why this is always a holiday favorite.

The sleeves are just a little too long, but there are thumbholes. The hardware is silver. The color Heathered Twilight Rose is beautiful. I'm a fan of softer heathered colors and this shifts between pink and mauve depending on the lighting.

Overall, still a huge fan of the Scuba Plush hoodies. Right now there are five colors available and my pick is this one. I do hope to see more colors, but I think this may be it for this holiday season. A purple like Nightfall would have been nice!

Definitely leaning towards the Scuba Plush Hoodie even though the price is $148. I don't even need any more hoodies, and should really downsize my collection. Next, we have the Scuba Oversized Full Zip Hoodie in Twilight Rose.

This one is not heathered, and honestly I think I prefer the heathered version of Twilight Rose a lot more. This one just seems kind of flat to me? Color is beautiful on it's own, but heathered Twilight Rose just adds a little more texture to the eye and seems more interesting.

I also realize that the Scuba Plush Hoodie is more flattering because of the fit. I'm wearing size XS/S in the Scuba Oversized Full Zip and it is a bit boxy on my petite frame. I do have three of these hoodies and while I do like the style, this one just doesn't seem to be as flattering, even though it's Twilight Rose! And you all know how much I love this color.

Also, you can see the security tag at the bottom left side of the hoodie! This has never happened to me before. It's probably a sign I should return this. 😅 Which hoodie do you like more? Did I make the right choice? Did you  buy a Scuba Plush hoodie yet? Let me know in the comments.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Again not much of a WMTM update. Will be looking forward to Black Friday in a couple of weeks!

  1. Heathered Twilight Rose is such a pretty color but I’m returning my Scuba Hoodie Plush cos I don’t really need another hoodie. If the plush material was slightly thicker, I might have kept it. I ended up getting the Cloud Fleece Jacket from Athleta,

I got the Cloud Fleece Jacket in Truffle XS and Bone XXS. Surprisingly sizes XS and XXS fit almost the same, the only difference being the length. The jacket looks really nice in Bone but I ended up keeping Truffle which won’t get dirty easily. I also love the slightly longer length in size XS.

I was actually debating whether or not to keep the jacket cos I expected it to be lined like the Tugga long jacket I got a couple years ago, The Cloud Fleece Jacket, however, is not lined and therefore is not as warm. If not for the sale (45% off plus an extra 25% off for color Truffle), I probably wouldn’t have kept it though it’s cute,

    1. Hi Andrea! I was looking at the Cloud Fleece Jacket too. I ended up ordering a Alpine sweater, Recharge Sweatshirt, and Softluxe HR Jogger to try.

My Vuori fleece jacket that I ordered a couple of years ago also is not lined and not as warm but cute. It also sheds a little bit too.

  2. I love the scuba plush. I have every color they've made it in. But, I probably won't buy any of the new colors since I have the Rose Taupe version from 2 years ago and the color looks pretty similar. The brown doesn't appeal to me. I know I'd never wear it. If I did get one, I'd consider Bone. I have heathered grey and black already. Like you, I was hoping for a nice purple. The iced iris one has always looked like a heather Greg with some lavender yo my eyes. Nightfall would've been a good one! The Burgundy color from the original release is still my all time favorite though. It feels very Christmas-y.

    1. Hi Stacy! I bought the Burgundy one for my sister that year for Christmas. She still wears it! Bone would be a nice one if you were to get another. Will go with anything.

  3. My vote is for the Plush one! It’s so much more special.

I tried the Soft Jersey Curved Hem Short, and they are a big no. I wear a 4 in the regular ones and tried an XS. The waist fit fine, but they flare out so much on the sides that they look like a skirt. Sizing down wouldn’t help.

    1. Hi LZ! Oh no! Thanks for the review and letting us know. I am going to pass on the shorts.

  4. I like both hoodies on you, but I agree, the heathered is prettier. I've been wearing mine a lot!

I ended up shopping the Athleta sale, and I oredered the Cargo Straight Leg Pant in the girls' section, and the Endeavor High Rise Relaxed Pant, which I'll probably have to get hemmed if I keep them. Waaaay too many sales happening right now!

    1. Hi Lola! Agree, so many sales right now. Like no one is waiting for Black Friday anymore. I shopped the Athleta one too and bought a few things to try. About to place some more orders elsewhere too. haha. Let me know how the Atheta girls works out for you!

    1. Hi Janessa! Can't believe you haven't tried the plush Scuba yet! I'd be curious what you think if you do try it this year.

  6. I really like the heathered rose more than the solid one. The solid one is kinda boring. I wish they had the heathered one in the oversized style. I'm kinda done with fitted hoodies. But both of them look good on you. Thanks for the post! cindy

    1. Hi Cindy! Yes the solid just doesn't do it for me. It pales in comparison. Agree. the OS styles don't really have heathered versions.

Love the 2024 Plush on you! I actually found your account in 2022ish whilst googling Lulu plush scubas to see the fit/color on IRL girlies in realistic lighting.

Agree that the heather looks more interesting.

Wonder if you ended up getting the Nightfall Plush? It came out after your Taupe Rose post.

Might be interesting to do a comparison b/w the 2022 & 2024 Rose Plushes if you end up keeping the 2024 version?

Personally I agree with the other commenter who mentioned that this year’s Rose leans more brown/taupe which is not for everyone.

I own the 2022 Rose Plush & was thinking of adding the 2024 Rose to my collection… But thanks to your pics in realistic lighting & explanation that it’s looser than previous versions, I decided against it.

I’ll likely purchase the Nightfall Plush in a smaller size than my usual Scuba Plush due to FOMO. They sell out so quickly & heathered purple is such a rare color for Lulu

    1. Hi Millennial Sporty Spice! Love the name. =D

I did get the Nightfall Plush, will have a review coming up soon. I don't have the 2022 version anymore so I can't do a comparison review. I only have the 2024 ones now.

Purple is my favorite color so I had to have it! Especially heathered. I am a sucker for heathered even though I know many people say they don't like it. Solids are a little too plain for my tastes. But everyone is different!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
