Fit Review Friday! Anthropologie Pilcro Twofer Sweater Tee, Sanctuary Carnaby Kick Flare Cropped Pants, Maeve Twofer Hooded Peacoat

Happy Friday! Back before I became addicted to Lululemon, my whole closet was Anthropologie. Then somewhere around 2012-ish, the pieces became less interesting and not as unique. By the time 2015 came around, I was addicted to Lululemon. The two stores couldn't be more different but I do like to change things up. Every now and then I still like to drop by Anthro to see if anything catches my eye. While I was in New Orleans I decided to check out Anthropologie again!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Anthropologie. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

If you have mild winters like Atlanta, it can be hard to wear a lot of layers to achieve the cute fall look, but seems like someone realized this and made a one piece to look like two separate pieces. Genius! This is a vest and t-shirt in one. What I really love is it's an outfit that looks good, without having to put much thought into choosing a tee and wondering if it's the right length, should it be shorter? Maybe a little longer? The decision is already made for you. Easy peasy.

While it's very comfortable, the arm hole is a big too large in my opinion. The vest is a chunky knit which adds texture. I'm wearing size XS and it is a tad big on me. It does come in size XXS which would probably be the better fit for my height. Price is $118, which is steep for what it is, but Anthro has always been pricey. Just like Lululemon! 😆

It's not often I find pants that actually fit me. The trick is to look for the cropped lengths. These measure 26.5 inches long and with my Allbirds, they are just a tad too long, but not bad at all. I'm wearing size XS and it fits perfectly at the waist and hips. These are pull-on pants and they are also high rise. They sit slightly higher than my belly button. Price is only $89. I guess when they're crops, the price is adjusted accordingly? 😂

Last but not least, we have this twofer peacoat that has detachable dickie. The gray hooded portion is removable and you can wear the peacoat on its own. The fit is slightly cropped and boxy. However, this makes it very petite friendly!

I'm wearing size small and it is a bit big. I am going to stop by the store near me to see if they have an XS for me try. This also comes in a beautiful neutral and a red orange color. I would love to see the other colors too. I definitely do not need another jacket, but this one is too cute to not pursue it!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I do have some Aviator Nation and Frank & Eileen reviews coming up. For Monday's post I will be reviewing my latest Coach bag. Empire 40. It's the most anticipated Coach bag in a long time and I'm super excited to share it with you all!

  1. I moved from a city where an Anthropologie was close by to a much smaller city without one. I miss it a lot but my savings account is happier.

Your choices look great on you.

    1. Hah, I just replaced Anthro with Lululemon, pricing is probably not much different! Although I still spend more money on bags. That's my biggest weakness.

  2. The peacoat looks very nice on you! I like the grey hood on navy! Great colour combination!

  3. Hi Leslie,
The Maeve Twofer Hooded Peacoat is cute and I love the detachable dickie! Not a navy person but I kind of like the grey/navy color combo. It’s pretty classic as you said.

My Lululemon Wunder Puff Jacket in Oil Grey/Belgian Blue came in and it is beautiful in person! Even though I already have two Wunder Puff Jackets, I’m inclined to keep the Oil Grey one. You know I’m a sucker for greys and purples! :)

    1. Hi Andrea! If you love the color and it does it for you, I would keep it! It's nice to be able to switch based on how you might feel for the day and what goes with your outfit. I like having choices. =)

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
