Review! Boxy Tote Bag 10L and Boxy Mini Tote Bag 4.5L Sketch Toile Turtledove Navy Obsidian

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to share these two Boxy Totes in this gorgeous print. They really remind me of Dior Book Totes and I'm not about to spend $3000 on one of those. These Lululemon totes are $98 for the mini and $118 for the large and that's such a good deal for a similar look. Please check out my video where I go into way more detail and also shows what fits inside these two bags.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

I already have the 4.5L in the Two Tone Canvas Tote, which I love. I used it all summer long, at least 2-3 times a week. It's a great commuter bag when I have to go to the office and I'm not carrying a lot of things. Even after months of use, the bag still looks brand new. I'll be putting the canvas version away, now that we're transitioning to fall and the Sketch Toile Turtledove Navy/Obsidian will be a good replacement.

Here are some modeling shots. The mini tote can be worn a few ways. This one comes with a fully adjustable crossbody strap. I prefer carrying it by the handles, but it is nice to have the option to go hands free. The crossbody strap is made of super soft cotton/canvas and is very comfortable.

Let's take a look at the details of this tote. The print does vary from bag to bag. I have a feeling this print is huge and each bag will look different from one another. Mine does not look like the one on the website, but it's similar enough that it gives off the same vibe.

Measurements 11" X 5.1" X 8.3"

The front of this tote has a shallow pocket which can fit a phone but it will likely stick out at the top. I personally do not store anything in this pocket. There's a D ring where I attached a Coach Snoopy charm. I do love adding charms to my bags. The Snoopy charm is old, but Coach always has cute ones on their website.

Flash checking out my bag!

The fabric on the tote is soft and it feels almost cushion-y, yet the bag itself is quite sturdy and will keep its shape. The fabric is water repellant. The outside of the bag is made of nylon with black polyester lining. In the photo above you can see a slightly crinkled texture on the fabric. If I run my hands along the fabric it does make a swishy sound. I do go into more detail in my video.

The inside has a main compartment with two pockets. One is a zippered pocket and the other is a slip pocket. It also has a snap closure. On each side of the bag are loops to attach the crossbody strap. I will admit it is a little annoying attaching and removing the strap, it's not the easiest.

I couldn't resist getting the larger 10L size in this tote as well. Personally I think the tote looks better in the larger size because of the bigger canvas to show off the gorgeous print. You can see more of the trees and detailed leaves.

Measurements 14.6" X 5.9" X 11.4"

This tote is pretty big, it can fit my 14 inch laptop with tons of space for pretty much anything you'd want to carry with you. Make sure to watch the video to see what fits. The straps are long enough to easily carry over the shoulder even with a jacket on.

You can always carrying by the handles as well and it does not touch the floor even on my short frame. The larger size unfortunately does not have the ability to add a crossbody strap.

Let's take a look at the details of this bag. It's basically the same as the mini version with a few additional pockets on the inside. On the front of the bag is a slip pocket that can fit you phone without sticking out, it's much deeper than the mini version. There's also a D ring to add a charm or accessory. I need to find something to add to this bag.

The print does go all around the bag. I love the details of the flowers, it really looks like a piece of art. The back of the bag has a small Lululemon tab on the bottom right corner. The mini version has this as well.

The inside is super spacious. It has a large zippered pocket, on the opposite side two slip pockets and slip pockets on each side of the bag. This tote will keep your things organized. I love it. I can't wait to use this tote!

That's it for me! Let me know what you think of these two totes. Did you end up ordering one? I'm definitely keeping both and would recommend, especially for the price! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Both of those totes are really pretty - the larger one would make a great commuter bag since it holds so much. I prefer the look of the smaller one on you though, and the fact that it has a crossbody strap. I personally don't use bags that only have a snap closure; I'm too paranoid I will lose something. I'm more inclined to get the Quilted Grid Tote since there are zippers.

    1. Hi Lola! I haven't used the larger size yet, but maybe I will later this week when I have to carry a bit more. I definitely prefer the smaller size more and will use it a lot more than the large. I have the 5L Quilted Grid Tote. I can't wait to bring that out again. It's more of a fall/winter bag. Leans towards winter more since it's puffy.

  2. I love it! I just received my 10L and think it's the perfect work bag - both for lulu (to carry my water bottle and snacks) and for when I rarely need to go into the office for my full time (to carry my water bottle and laptop). It's so cute!

  3. I love love love this bag, especially in the mini and was kind of bummed it’s not even listed in Canada, and sold out in the US. Hopefully they will restock?

    1. Haha! This is probably one of the better purchases I've made in a while that also didn't break the bank.

  5. So between 10l and 4.5, you suggest 4.5? We have it in white, water repellent and the price difference is only 10$! But it gives you twice the size!

    1. Hi there, personally I don't carry a lot, so the 4.5L works for me. But when I do have to carry more things for the office I can switch to the 10L. Whatever works for you!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
