Fit Review Friday! Presence Cocoon Wrap, With Ease Tee, Rise Pant

Happy Friday! It's finally feeling a little brisk in the morning when I leave for work. And by brisk I mean the 60s. It's kind of nice. I'm looking forward to when I can start wearing my fall jackets. We're still not quite there yet. During the day it still climbs up to mid 80s, and that's considered not bad. I'm definitely in the market for a new wrap, and I think that's what I'll be hunting for this season.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

This light to midweight Presence Cocoon Wrap caught my eye. I was hoping this would be very cozy and soft, but the ribbing adds a texture to this wrap and the fabric was not what I had in mind. I was hoping for something along the lines of their Nirvana fabric, but it feels pretty mid, as Gen Z likes to say. 😆 I do like the fit and length. I'm wearing usual size Petite XS and it's true to size. The pockets felt weird to me, a little too shallow and hard to get my hands into. Overall, this has potential, but the softness and odd pockets were a deal breaker for me. Back it went, but I'm glad I tried it.

I've been eyeing the With Ease Tee for a while and decided to try one out. This top is meant for yoga or light workouts, but I also think it's perfectly fine to wear as a casual top. It's also very thin and lightweight, perfect for hot summer days. I am looking forward to wearing this one a lot next summer. Definitely worth the sale price.

With Ease Tee Black Size Petite XS

I'm wearing size Petite XS and it's slightly oversized but still flattering. I really love the drape at the back of the tee. The length is long enough to cover the bum.

And it also looks great with a French tuck.

I definitely recommend the With Ease Tee and I know it will be a staple in my closet. I'm considering adding a couple more colors. Currently eyeing it in Pyrite Heather and Iris. Next up, we have the Rise Pant. A few of you were asking about these pants. Can I just say I LOVE Smoky Rose. It's the perfect mauve, rose color with brown and purple undertones.

I'm wearing size Petite XS and these are oversized for sure. The length measures 28.5 inches which is way too long for me, so I used the adjustable bungee cord at the hem to cinch the cuffs in. While it keeps the pants from dragging on the floor, there's way too much fabric around the ankles. This would be much better for the taller petite folks out there. The other thing that really stood out to me is the fabric. It's shinier than the photos let on. It's actually quite shiny. The texture does make the swish swish sounds of the 90s pants I used to have. I used to love wearing them back in the day, but now, not so much. I prefer my clothes to be on the quiet side. 😅

I will say that I love the waistband. The inner lining of the waistband is made out of Nirvana fabric and it feels so soft and comfortable. I wish all pants had this kind of lining for the waistband.

I love the zippered pocket detail. The fit however is also slightly too baggy for me to pull off. If the length were shorter and the fabric wasn't so shiny, I might have been willing to keep these just because I love the color.

I have more Athleta fit reviews coming next week! For Monday's post I will be reviewing Lululemon's Boxy Totes. I have to say I'm really excited about them. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Hi Leslie,
I posted a comment earlier but it’s so weird that it’s disappeared! Anyway, thanks for a great review! I was actually interested all three pieces! :D

The wrap has potential but somehow it’s not as flattering as the Pranayama Restore Wrap on you. I personally prefer latter’s front design which is more interesting.

I thought of trying the With Ease Tees when they were on sale but was worried that the material was too sheer and see through especially for the light colors. What do you think?

It’s a bummer that the Rise Pant is made with shiny and swishy material - a huge deal breaker for me! Smoky Rose is such a gorgeous color though.

I was lucky enough to snatch the last pair of Seasoft Straight Leg Pant in Truffle size XXS Petite. Will let you know if I like the color.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

    1. Hi Andrea! Oh I see what happened to your comment, blogger marked it as spam LOL!

Yeah I definitely prefer the Pranayama Wrap over the Cocoon wrap. Not even a question.

I think the With Ease Tees are pretty thin. I would probably think the white would be a little bit see through. I think the other colors should be opaque.

Ohhhh new color?! I only see Truffle available in the sweatshirt. Hopefully we will get it soon in the US.

    2. Spam? LOL

Thanks for your advice on the With Ease Tee. Looks like I should stay away from white.

Truffle looks like a lovely neutral color. I can’t believe Canada has something that’s not yet available on the U.S. site! :D

    3. Yeah, I get a lot of spam comments on my blog. I delete them all the time. I guess it marked yours as possible spam!

Same, I can't believe it either lol!

  2. I love the With Ease shirt. I have it in 2 different colors. I just clicked through and saw a gorgeous purple so I’ll probably buy that one too. I have noticed that some of the colors get a little worn looking after not too long, but it’s a great fit and layers well with cardigans when it gets chilly.

    1. Hi there. Good to know, I was wondering if it would look more worn in the ribbed version of this tee. In your experience is it with the plain or ribbed version? Both?

    2. It was with the plain version in a light purple color. The bright blue one that I have seems to be holding up well.

    3. Thank you! Interesting. Maybe the darker or brighter colors hold up better?

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
