Fit Review! Lululemon Cortes Cropped T-Shirt Shadow Stripe and Lightweight High Rise Relaxed Short 3 inch Long Liner

I can't believe it's already the end of August. The last days of summer are among us. This will likely be my last summery fit review for a while! After this it'll all be fall clothes, which is my favorite kind of clothes. Bring on all the cozy sweaters and cardigans. I'm even looking forward to wearing jeans again!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

This lightweight cropped tee is perfect if you live in the south. It is on the thinner side and slightly sheer. I tried matching the bralette to the tee to blend in as much as possible and it's not too bad. What I love most are the sleeves. They're longer than usual for a t-shirt but I actually appreciate the extra coverage from the sun. The length of this tee hits at the waist and reminds me of the Cates Tee in terms of fit.

I'm wearing my usual size 4 and it fits true to size. It is slightly boxy, but still flattering on my petite frame. I will probably get another month, maybe two if the summer sticks around to wear these tees. They are currently on sale for $39 which saves $19 off retail. I'm glad I managed to snag these two colors.

I've been trying to find a new pair of shorts from Lululemon since Hotty Hots have been very hit or miss with the sizing lately. What I really love about these shorts are the POCKETS! Which explains the high price. These retail for $78. Ouch. 😫 Hotty Hots are $68 but no pockets. The waistband is stretchy and comfortable. There is a drawstring if needed.

I'm wearing size 4 and I do think they're mostly true to size. I say that because the front looks great and the liner is perfect, BUT I did notice that the back has some extra fabric, it's not terrible but it's there. I wore these for a HIIT workout and I have zero complaints. I do plan on using these on a run and hope the slightly longer length doesn't irritate me. I'll keep you all posted!

I guess I need to grow my butt out. I am eyeing another color in these shorts, but hoping to catch them on WMTM. I don't usually like green, but I kinda dig this soft green shade in Gray Eucalyptus . There is a pair on WMTM in Ideal Mint. I'm tempted but I think it's a little too light for me.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful start to the last week of August!

  1. I actually don’t mind the fabric as it looks more like a skort and very pretty/swishy. What I don’t really like is the white stripe running down the sides, not sure why but it gives a meh vibe to me.

I did stop by LLL and checked out that jacket from the previous post. The fabric was a lot more crinkly in person than the photos so I passed. But now I my eye on a mixed media jacket which I will probably get 😬

    1. Hi AC! I can see that, it's def has the gym/sporty look. I don't mind it though. But it has pockets! =D

Oh the Always Effortless Jacket? It is a little crinkly, it doesn't bother me though. I liked it in the original style.

    1. Hi Janessa! You're welcome. If they pass the run test, I may grab another pair.

  3. Oh I'm happy you liked the shorts! I thought you might. I have them in Ideal Mint and am waiting for the rest to go on sale. They are a new fav for me since I have fallen out of love with Track Thats and Hotty Hots - and since there are rarely new Fast & Free colors/stock.

    1. Hi LZ! Yes, thanks for the recommendation! I def would like another pair. I will keep the Hotty Hots that I own, but won't be buying anymore.

  4. Those shorts are cute. The inseam looks longer than 3 inches to me (which I like). The price is very off-putting, however. In Canada they're $88!

I was considering one of those tops too. They look pretty comfy. I wish they had some more colors available.

    1. Hi Lola! Agree, $78 here was a bit hard to swallow. That said, Hotty Hots have been $68 for a while now, so I almost feel like $78 isn't awful, even tho it really is! Don't think I can stomach another pair for full price, but will happily get another on WMTM!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
