New Releases Week of July 16th 2024

Lots of Sakura Pink and Gray Eucalyptus this week! I don't usually like pinks like this, but I admit, the Scuba Cropped Anorak in Sakura Pink looks really cute. I am eyeing a couple of things from Athleta. Haven't decided if I want to place an order yet. Lots of sales happening right now. I have to make some decisions!

Did you order anything?

(I think this is really cute in Sakura Pink! Tempted to try!)

(Love the color, but I feel like it is missing something, maybe the ribbing detail.)

(Cute!)

(Kinda dig this backpack, can also wear as a crossbody.)

(Love this deep purple shade too!)

  1. It was nice to see a nice-sized upload today. Canada got a bunch more Team Canada pieces. I'm really kind of loving Sakura Pink and Pow Pink Tone, although I couldn't find a single item in either color that I wanted! Hopefully some more things get released in those colors.

And I'm in love with Athleta's Celestial Utility Pant. I've been looking for a petite-friendly pair of cargos for a long time, but I won't pay $139 CAD for them. I hope my size doesn't sell out before there's a sale!

    1. Hi Lola,
I’ve been eyeing Athleta’s Celestial Utility Pant as well but the price is too steep! Like you said, hopefully there will be a sale soon!

    2. Hi Lola and Andrea! I just looked up the Celestial Utility Pant, the petite inseam is 25.5" which should work for me! What colors are you eyeing? I was debating between Feather and Black.

    3. I like Feather the best, but I think all the colors are pretty decent!

    4. I like Feather best too. Hoping for more colors though!

  2. Nothing for me this week!

I ended up returning the pair of Breezethroughs I ordered before trying on a pair on in-store. I did give them a second shot, and it was still a no. I wish they were just Aligns in a lighter-weight material - no need to reinvent the wheel.

If you haven't seen them, the Lightweight High-Rise Relaxed Short 3"
Long Liner are really nice! We got them in-store, and I think I will pick up a pair. I like the mesh liner.

    1. Hi LZ! I was looking at those shorts, do you know if they are true to size? Thanks!

    2. They are - maybe just a smidge roomy, but I wouldn't size down from my usual size 4 in shorts. I am like you and also no longer like tight things. I could wear a 2, but I want something loose and comfy!

    3. Thanks! I may place an order for the shorts and maybe the Scuba Anorak? Hmmm

  3. Hi Leslie. I’m in love with Sakura pink. But will wait and hopefully the HH shorts go on wmtm. The Sakura pink swiftlys sure looks dark compared to other Sakura pink items. Otherwise I’d order one. Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy! Agree, I will be waiting too on the Sakura pink HHs. That's the only item I think I would wear in that color.

  4. I love the HH in Sakura Pink but I have to go in store to check them out! Nothing for me lately. I just wear the same old basics like my black align with pockets, and groove flare pants and dance studio joggers

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
