Fit Review Friday! Vuori Halo Performance Short & Halo Warm Up Jogger

Happy Friday! It's been awhile since I posted a Vuori review. They are having their end of season sale right now. I placed an order for a pair of shorts and jogger.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear size XS in Vuori. I also wear size 4/6 in Lululemon.

I wanted a pair of lounge shorts and sized up in these, but they changed the back of the shorts and added some puckering? I'm not even sure what the correct term is. All I know is, it does not look good. I even tried steaming them out, but it just doesn't lay flat like my old pair. So this was an easy return for me. Otherwise, these would have been a great pair of lounge shorts. There's a chance this was an off pair and the puckering isn't supposed to look like this.

When I saw the Halo Warm Up Jogger in Rosemary Heather I fell in love with it. Mainly because of the color. It's more purple than the photos show. It's such a beautiful color. The joggers are similar to the Halo Performance Jogger but with a higher rise and double layer at the waist. The length is also longer as well. I had to fold it under a little bit, otherwise the cuff really bunched up.

Halo Warm Up Jogger Rosemary Heather Size XS

These are true to size. I'm wearing size XS and they do fit well. The inseam measured 28 inches. My preferred length is 26 inches max.

The waistband with the extra layer comes up over my belly button by a lot. They felt too high on me. It didn't feel tight, I just do not like anything to come up that high because I have a short torso.

These come up high in the back as well. I like the look of these joggers, but I didn't enjoy the feel of wearing them, so unfortunately these are going back too. If you do like high rise joggers, then these are for you!

That's it for me! Let me know if you bought anything from the Vuori sale. Lululemon's WMTM Update didn't look great, so I'm skipping it this week. Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. I love your new kitty's name. So cute. Do you think they changed the Halo shorts? I can see the puckering on the ones the model is wearing too. I have those shorts in an older color and will check if there is puckering. But it doesn't indicate anywhere they've been changed. It's not Halo performance shorts 2.0 or something like that. I'm not a fan of those joggers. Too much bunching up at the bottom for me. But nice color.

    1. Snoopy is so funny. I already love him so much. I hope my other cats will eventually feel the same way.

My older shorts look like the back of the Halo Warm Up Joggers. Just a little bit of puckering, and mostly flat. So I am wondering if I just got a bad pair.

Agreed, they really need to make short lengths for petite people!

  3. Thanks for this! It’s nice to know what kind of things to look out for in terms of fit etc for myself. The puckering or maybe pleats (?) does look kind of strange. I believe with the advent of cropped everything, the high waisted pants are coming into play to make up for that difference lol

    1. Hi AC! That's a good observation, I suppose that makes sense, crop tops and high rise everything. I'm tired of the crop tops!

  4. Hi Leslie,
Thanks for another great fit review!

I’m not a big fan of high rise bottoms and much prefer mid rise ones.

  5. I still haven’t tried vuori yet all these years! I want to try some on in store to see what I like best. So many of the short options are always sold out so I don’t end up buying online -Janessa

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
