Fit Review Friday! Store Try Ons Athleta Unstoppable Full Zip & Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt

Happy Friday! I dropped by the store last weekend for some quick try ons at Athleta. The store does not carry petite sizing and I'm wearing size XS in both tops.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta tops. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon.

(on sale!)

This gorgeous blue is called Dark Lapis Blue and it's currently on sale for $84.99. I'm wearing size XS and it's a pretty good fit. I think I would still prefer petite sizing just because the sleeves are a bit too long.

This is semi-fitted and the inside is super cozy, this jacket is lined in brushed fleece. I love the thumbholes and zippered pockets. If you're in the market for a new jacket, this one gets a thumbs up from me.

Next up, we have the Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt in Grey Heather. I'm wearing size XS. This sweatshirt does not come in petite sizing.

This crewneck sweatshirt is sooooo comfy and made of super soft terry. This top has a relaxed fit with room to move in and room for layering underneath if you wanted to. The length hits at my low hip. Sleeves are slightly long, but overall I'm very pleased with this top. It would make a nice spring or transitional piece.

For $79, it's a great staple but a little pricey. I would definitely wait for a coupon. I kinda wish I needed a new sweatshirt, but I seriously have too many and have to cut myself off. I might have to do another round of cleaning out my closet soon.

That's it for me! Happy Mother's Day for all the mom's out there taking care of your kids and furbabies. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I love your in-store try-on reviews, Leslie!

I did think of getting the Retroterry Crewneck Sweatshirt but not sure if it would be too short on me. Thanks for your fit review, guess I will size up to XS if I want to give it a try. Size XXS will definitely be too short for my liking.

I got the Coaster Luxe Recover High Hip Sweatshirt in Granite Blue during last week's sale and the quality is disappointing. The material is paper thin and it looks so cheap. Definitely not worth even the sale price. I remember getting one in the longer original version for a friend last spring and the material was thicker. I would pay more to get something in the luxurious Seasoft material.

    1. Hi Andrea! Thanks so much! I will definitely try and do more store try on posts going forward.

That's too bad about the Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt. I love Granite Blue too. I had an old Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt from years ago that I loved. I agree with you on Seasoft. Would love to see more in that fabric. I bought a few items from the sale last week but they are on back-order.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
