Just In Allbirds Tree Flyer 2 in Thunder Purple Plus WMTM Update!

Happy Friday! I've had my Tree Flyer 2 in Black for 8 months now and it's been my go-to everyday walking/commuter/gym shoe. I decided that I needed a second pair if I am going to wear them to work. I'm really not supposed to wear sneakers at the office, but no one has complained so far, so I am going to keep wearing them as long as I can.

For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds shoes.

On the left we have my 8 month old Tree Flyer 2 in Black and on the right is the new Thunder Purple. Both are size 5.5. The black pair actually has held up well. The only wear I see is on the mid sole where it is a bit scuffed up. It's mainly because I like to kick my shoes off at the end up the day and that's where I put my other foot to use as leverage. There are no rips or holes anywhere else on the shoe.

Not much wear on the soles, just mainly dirt. The outer and upper portions of the shoe look great. I'm very pleased with the quality of the shoe so far. I'm still going to wear the black pair on rainy days.

Size 5.5

Tree Flyer 2 is my favorite Allbirds shoe right now. They're slightly roomier in the toe box than Tree Dasher 2. I love my Wool Runner 2s, but since it's getting warmer I probably won't wear those as much until fall. My other favorite shoes are Tree Dasher Relay for not having laces! Easy on and easy off.

Thunder Purple almost looks like black in certain lighting, but it's definitely a deep purple. I love the color so much that I am considering picking it up in the Wool Dasher Mizzles.

Tree Flyer 2s are so comfortable I have zero complaints and they're currently on sale! That's it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!

(Pretty good WMTM Update this week! Did you get anything?)

(The strappy back is the best part!)

(I was hoping the white one would go on sale too.)

(I'm tempted to get these and the shorts below.)

  1. Happy Easter! I’m surprised the black pair held up so well after 8 months. I think due to my stride, the outer corners of my heels are usually the first to wear out. So Allbirds must be using some quality rubber there!

    1. Hi AC! I am impressed on how well they held up. Do you have any Allbirds?

    2. Nope haven’t joined the cult yet, I keep on telling myself I have to throw away a pair to justify buying myself a new one, but I’m still cycling through my collection of shoes so it’s hard to wear out just the one completely😆

    3. I ended up donating a bunch of pairs and re-homed a couple that were still near new. That's the only way I can make room for some new ones!

  2. Thunder Purple is such a great color. I like that it's such a dark shade, it could almost pass for a neutral.

A couple of things caught my eye on WMTM. I ended up ordering the Softstreme Hoodie in Bone. I pray I don't slop something on it the second I wear it, lol!

The Keys Retroplush Pants arrived, and I'm pretty sure I'm keeping them. The petite xxs was the perfect size (I'm a solid size 4 in Lulu). If anyone is curious, the petite inseam measures 25 inches, and the rise is about 10 inches. The ankle zippers are super cute :)

    Happy Easter!

Ohhh I am going to see if the Keys Retroplush Pants are still on sale. Thanks for the measurements!

  3. I got the Softstreme full length pants (which I'll need to hem) and the Ribbed Softstreme Shorts both in Belgin Blue! I was tempted on the 4" Softstreme shorts but wanted a different style

    2. Hi Janessa! I love Belgian Blue, I have to go look at what's available in Belgian Blue. I wanted it in the Cates Tee, but looks like it's sold out. Bah.

  4. During the last sale, I got both the flyers and runners in thunder purple with the intention of returning one. I'm definitely keeping the flyers. I just love the color. It feels like it would go with nearly every piece of workout clothing I own. I'm torn on returning the runners. Against, loving the color and they were so cheap during the sale, but I have a lavender pair and a brighter purple (maybe atomic purple?) that I hardly ever wear. I keep telling myself that I don't need 3 pairs of purple runners in different shades 🤣

    1. If it was a good deal, I would be tempted to keep the runners. Maybe you'll wear the other shades of purple this spring/summer?

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
