Fit Review! Vuori Restore Oversized Hoodie & Granite Cropped Hoodie

It's been a little while since I covered Vuori items. The Granite Cropped Hoodie is a fit request and it's currently on sale in Cerise Heather. I was very interested in trying the Restore Oversized Hoodie. It just looks so cozy and soft.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically size XS in Vuori. Size PXS in Athleta and size 4 in Lululemon tops.

I'm wearing size XS and while it fits true to size, I would actually prefer a size small in this hoodie, and I'll tell you why. The length of the hoodie hits lower on my hip and the band on the hem is a bit tight when zipped up. The sleeves are just slightly too long, but they aren't long enough to complain about.

When unzipped, the hoodie is perfectly fine. But I like to zip my hoodies up comfortable, so I would suggest sizing up if you're interested in this hoodie. Unless you happen to have a very long torso then your regular size might be okay.

It's a light to medium weight hoodie and while the fabric is very soft, it is also thicker than my beloved Performance Joggers. Since the fit was off for me, I returned this hoodie.

Next up, we have the Restore Oversized Hoodie in Mallorca. I'm wearing size XXS.

Restore Oversized Hoodie Mallorca Size XXS

This hoodie is thick! It's heavy weighted fabric that will keep you warm for colder temperatures. I wasn't expecting it to be so thick. The length is long even in size XXS. It has full coverage on my petite frame.

Not a fan of the huge patch with Vuori on the bottom corner.

Sleeves are very long. One other thing I wasn't a fan of? There are no kangaroo pockets! For $134, would it have really killed them to have added pockets in the front?! That said, this piece is very high quality. I think the quality on this hoodie surpasses any other Vuori item I own.

This is made of soft French Terry fabric. It feels brushed on the outside.

I love the oversized look, I think it's super cute. At times, I did think the length felt a tad too long on my frame. Towards the end of the shoot, I found myself rolling the hem up a bit, as you can see in the below picture.

I ended up returning this, because it's just too heavy for Atlanta weather. I don't think I would have reached for this too much because of that. Also, no pockets?! Kind of a dealbreaker for me there, especially for the price. No keepers for me today.

That's my review! Let me know what you think of these two Vuori pieces. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Thank you for doing the fit review on the granite hoody! The restore hoody looks so cozy. I'm glad the granite hoody is on sale in that color. Seemed a bit overpriced for that piece.

    1. Hi AC! It is very oversized. I would suggesting sizing down as long as you're not sized out.

  3. Hi Leslie. Just revisiting your review on the granite hoodie. It’s on sale but I missed out on the xs. Do you think the small would work for me because I generally take one size down from you for most tops because i lack muscle and boobs lol. I wish they would make more colors in that hoodie and hope it won’t be discontinued. Cindy

    1. Hi Cindy, I think you would prefer the XS, since I would prefer the small. If you don't mind an oversized look you could try the small, but it would be big on you.

  4. Thank you so much. I think you’re right. My halo crew arrived today in the xs and it’s oversized on me. So sad. I think I’m sized out for most items as xxs is sold out in all the colors I like. I’m keeping the crew though. It’s so comfy and soft and I hate returning stuff.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
