New Releases Week of February 27th 2024

Lots of Grape Thistle today. I love purple, so not complaining. That said, it's the same items every week, just in different colors or regurgitated colors from years past. I wish Lulu would release some new styles or at least some prints or patterns like they used to. Nothing that I have to have this week, but I am looking forward to the blazer I ordered last week. I don't have high hopes that it's petite friendly, but I still want to see it for myself. In other news, Vuori also has new arrivals this week that is worth taking a closer look at. Check it out below!

(I like the Iridescence and colors, but the rest not so much!)

  1. I'm not a fan of muted colors, so I'm safe from all of the Grape Thistle and Belgian Blue. We have some Grape Thistle Mesh WTs in store, and I might be interested if they come in black. I know mesh is so 2019, but this version is really soft mesh and is pretty opaque. They look like bike shorts on top, full mesh legs, and a little bit of Everlux on the bottom. I find normal Everlux to be too hot (and not quick-drying at all), so they could be a good solution.

I agree with you about the same stuff in different colors. If there was a color I really liked, that could be good (or bad for my wallet), but there's nothing I want or need right now. If Dark Prism Pink makes a return, I'm in trouble, though!

    1. Hi LZ! I'll have to check out the mesh WTs. I did have a couple of pairs of mesh back in the day, but they were a little scratchy. Nice to know the these are soft!

Athleta had some new arrivals, but nothing that stood out to me.

  2. Your so right Leslie! Have to laugh today of the new releases so uninspiring.. Have old pair of iron blue color aligns and WU grape. Today people notice the color believing its the new release. Lol..
Lululemon often famous in making dozens of leggings styles you could not possibly have the money to choose or wear them all making your mind be dizzy thinking about it. Today they only have three or four styles..Is it because the older styles such as All the right places leggings were fazed out for Fast & Free and customers complain less about it? Are todays leggings much more superior product and standard then years past?

Only good part if they keep recycling same items but labeling it different color. Sooner or later they will drop the Gator green camo which i lost wanting to replenish. Hopefully in regular Align legging then my previous Fast & Free.

    1. Hi Mack! More likely the opposite! Older leggings have better quality then the new ones today. I'm sure you'll get your gator green, maybe in time for fall.

But yeah, today was a snooze drop. Good for all of our wallets though!

  3. Hi Leslie,
Another boring upload. I was at the store over the weekend and couldn't help trying on the Always Effortless Jacket in Belgian Blue. The color is gorgeous. Sadly size 2 was too short in both the sleeve length and body length, while size 4 fit big even though the body length was still a tad short for my liking. :(

I did order the blazer as well and hope size XS will work for me.

    1. Hi Andrea! I saw that jacket at the store too. Love the color but wish it was the original version. Why did they change a good thing? SMH.

I think the blazer will definitely work better for you than on me! Let me know your thoughts on it when it arrives. =)

    2. Hi Leslie,
The blazer just arrived and sadly it doesn’t work for me. Shoulders are too wide and sleeves super long. I like the material and the style but too bad it’s just not for me. :(

I think the blazer might fit you better as you have wider shoulders but I’m afraid you’ll have to roll up the sleeves.

    3. I figured the sleeves would be too long, I'll have to see if the length is too long as well. That would be my main concern. How did you find the length?

    4. The blazer covers my bum which is a good length in my opinion. It’s just that the sleeves are really looooooong! :D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
