New Releases Week of February 13th 2024

Disappointing upload today, although to be fair, it's been pretty lackluster for awhile now. Trench coat season is back and Athleta has a few that are available in petite sizing, unlike Lululemon. There are a few items I would love to try from Lulu if they were offered in petite sizing. Maybe someday! Nothing new for me this week, did you buy anything?

 New From Athleta

(Trench coat weather is here!)

(Love this color, looks a lot like Iron Blue.)

  1. Would love for you to do a review on the RAINOUT SUTRO LONG TRENCH from athleta!

    1. Sure, I can make that happen. I'll do a comparison between the short and the long.

  2. I love Larkspur and am happy to see it return. It's just a pretty blue that looks good on all skin tones. I have a couple of items on my wishlist but am going to wait.

I did order another pair of the Dance Studio Shorts because I love them so much. They are a great casual option for summer, and I want both Black and True Navy.

    1. Hi LZ! I do have the Dance Studio Shorts on my list to try. I am really liking Belgium Blue.

    2. I think you'll like them! The waist band runs a bit tight - even in my size up. The Mojave ones are lined but the others aren't and are much lighter weight.

    3. Oh wow, thanks for the tip in sizing up. Good to know the Mojave Tan is lined.

  3. Hi Leslie,
Belgian Blue is really pretty in person. I can’t resist ordering it in the Dance Studio Pants short and sized up this time. Hopefully the length will fit better in size 4.

I also love Athleta’s Granite Blue and just ordered the Avenue Wide Leg Cropped Pant in this gorgeous color (thanks for the heads up). Today I received my second Pranayama Wrap in Storm Cloud and it’s very pretty. It’s been an expensive February so far.

    1. Hi Andrea! Let me know how the Dance Studio Pants workout for you!

I've been eyeing another Pranayama Wrap, I have two currently, and considering it in Storm Cloud too. They're great in the summer.

I'm debating the Avenue Wide Leg Cropped Pant in Granite Blue too. I wonder if I should try the regular length though. Let me know what you think of them!

    2. Hi Leslie, I wanted to ask for a fit review of the Dance studio pants in the short length , just like Andrea's. But I think Andrea is taller than us. It will probably be long but it seems the trend is to have it kinda balloon at the bottom? Thanks, Cindy

    3. Hi Cindy! The short length is 28.5" which is still too long for both of us. The cropped version is 24.5 inches long which is perfect for me. I have a review here.

  4. Nothing for me this week. I was interested in the Avenue Wide Leg Cropped Pant also, but I see the smaller petite sizes are already sold out in Pyrite and Granite Blue. This is really starting to annoy me. Athleta obviously doesn't stock much in petites these days.

And Lulu was pretty boring again, in my opinion. I am curious to see what everybody thinks of the new Cityverse sneakers. They look super-comfy, but I'm getting "baby's first shoe" vibes from them, lol!

    1. Hi Lola! Wow, can't believe the petite sizing sells out that fast. It's still available in the US as of today. I'm actually debating if I want to try it in the regular length, it's only 25 inches long.

Yah I looked at the Cityverse sneakers and they remind me of Allbirds Couriers, which I also don't really like. They're like geriatric looking to me! LOL!

    2. Oooh yes, the regular length in the Avenue Crops might definitely be an option! If you get them, please let us know how you like them!

And the Cityverse sneakers do look a lot like Allbirds Couriers, don't they? There are a few colors of the Couriers on sale on the Canadian site, and they're 50% off! We must not be the only ones who have found them goofy-looking ;)

    3. I am curious to see which I would prefer. I think I will order both for a review.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. Review! Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap VS Everywhere Belt Bag Original

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely. The website has removed the Extended Strap from the name. The updated version is now called the Everywhere Belt Bag!**** For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.
