Fit Review! Allbirds Wool Runner 2!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm so excited to share with you my review of Allbirds Wool Runner 2. I loved the original version but wished they were available in half sizes and they granted my wish five years later!

For reference I wear size 5.5 in Allbirds and my usual sneaker size is also 5.5.

I couldn't decide between Natural White and Black so I got both to try. The first thing I noticed when I put them on is how great they fit. It's roomy in the toe box and they also feel much sturdier and because of that they are slightly stiff. It's not a bad thing, I think these will last longer. One other thing I noticed is the shoe fits lower on my ankle. It took a little time getting used to because I do prefer it to sit slightly higher for more support.

If they feel a little more snug than the original Wool Runner, try playing with the laces. I had to re-do the laces for a more comfortable fit. If you have wide feet, I would recommend sizing up.

These are a few other upgrades. There is 14% more cushion, so they do feel more bouncy than its predecessor. The toe box is reinforced to prevent your big toe from poking through. I do feel like this is why the new version feels stiff. That said, there was no break-in period for these shoes. I still found them to be very comfortable from day one.

I couldn't resist getting the black pair, this is probably my new favorite Allbirds shoe. The red trim just makes it so eye-catching. The design on the tongue loop is not for everyone, but in person I didn't feel like it was that jarring.

I've already worn both pairs out and about and verdict? They are both keepers! Happy to add Wool Runners back into my rotation. I'm also happy that the price did not go up as much as I thought it would. I think at $110, this is still a great value. If you loved the original version, there's a good chance you'll love these too.

Currently there are six colors to choose from and I'm all set with these two, so unless they release something I have just have to have, I think my collection is complete for now!

That's it for me! I hope you have a wonder start to a brand new week. 😊

  1. Hi Leslie,
We have limited selection of styles and colors on the Allbirds Canada site and quite often nice colors are sold out fast, at least in my size.

The Wool Runner 2 looks cute with the contrast color trim and I hope it will be released in Canada.

    1. Hi Andrea! The Wool Runner 2 hasn't hit Canada yet? I didn't know that. =(

I hope it makes it to you soon!

  2. The new Allbirds look very chic! I haven't bought any new Allbirds for an entire year+. Told myself that I need to use up or donate/resell my current shoes before getting more. There's an Allbirds Outlet not too far away, wonder if these new styles have hit the outlets, I'll check it out after the holiday rush...

    1. Hi Jean L! Wow you're so disciplined. I bought less Allbirds this year, but I still added quite a few. I did end up donating a bunch though to make room. I've never been to an Allbirds Outlet! You'll have to let me know what styles they have.

    2. I never considered that there would be Allbirds outlet stores. I just looked it up and discovered there is one about 45 minutes away from me. I guess I need to plan a little trip once the holiday rush is over!

    3. Hello! Have you been able to keep the white shoes clean? I'm eyeing them for a trip to Ireland but I'm worried about the white color. Any tips or insight are greatly appreciated!

    4. Hi there. They do wash pretty well but it depends on how dirty they get. I would wash them as soon as possible. That said I don't wear my white pair as an everyday shoe. I switch my allbirds pretty often. Not sure I'd take them on a trip because of the unknown walking conditions.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
