Review! Allbirds Tree Flyer 2 Natural Black

And just like that, it's October! Halloween will be here before you know it. This is the time of the year where months seems to speed up twice as fast. The temperature is also cooling down and it will finally feel like fall in Atlanta, later in the month (I hope). I plan to get some hikes in and a lot of walking in general. Allbirds Tree Flyer 2 have been on my list to try and I finally got around to it!

For reference I wear size 5.5 in Allbirds and my usual sneaker size is also 5.5

I have a couple of pairs of the original Tree Flyers, and while I really love the design, the fit is a little off for me. The width was fine in size 5.5, but I had extra length in the back of the shoe. I'm happy to announce the Tree Flyer 2 seems to have fixed that issue. The fit of the size 5.5 is perfect. I have zero complaints. Very comfy in the toe box and the length is exactly what I expected.

The new design has better traction with deeper grooves and increased stability and support.

Easy on and off with added pull tabs to the front and back of the shoe.

The first time I put these on, the opening was a little tight, I was worried that they wouldn't be comfy, but after putting them on and taking them off a few times, the opening has loosened up some. The laces also stay put so I only laced them up once and just slip them on and off.

This shoe is marketed as an active shoe, but I have been wearing them all weekend long and did a lot of walking in them and they honestly felt great. Maybe not as bouncy as my Tree Dasher 2s, but no complaints here. I walked 5 miles on Saturday and 4 miles on Sunday. They were very comfortable and supportive. Zero break in time.

I haven't tried running in these yet, but I definitely will. That's it for me! It's a brand new month, let's start it off on the right foot!

I also really like them in the Natural Black/Hazy Indigo.

  1. hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! I'm glad to hear that Allbirds fixed the narrow/long fit of the Tree Flyers. If a nice colour is released, I may give this version a try! Have a good week!

    1. Hi Karen! Same here, I am hoping they release some more interesting colors like they did with the original Tree Flyers.

  2. I love the black/indigo combo. I'd choose those since it's a limited edition color and the black ones will always be available. You must have a huge collection now! Cindy

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
