Fit Review! Vuori Boyfriend Cargo Jogger & Performance Jogger

I can't believe we're at the tail end of October already. It'll be Thanksgiving before you know it! Stores already have all the holiday items out. Is it just me or are they pushing holiday items earlier and earlier? Can we at least get through Halloween first before I start thinking about gifts? 😅

So with that, we have a fit review from Vuori! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS in Vuori. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon and size PXS in Athleta.

Performance Jogger Sawyer Heather Size XS

These are hands down my favorite joggers, ever. I am pretty sure I'm in the double digits now and after three years of wearing a pair nearly everyday, they hold up extremely well and worth the money in my opinion. They are buttery soft and even after many many washes, they're still soft, so I'm impressed.  When this pretty purple dropped, I knew I had to get them!

I'm wearing my usual size XS and they fit exactly like my other pairs. They are perfection. Length measures 25 inches and they hit at my ankles. These are mid-rise and very flattering. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing these joggers till they're worn through.

A couple of years ago I reviewed Vuori's Boyfriend Joggers in size XS and they were too big. They didn't make XXS at the time. When the Boyfriend Cargo Joggers were released in Hazel Heather and in size XXS I had to give this style another try.

The Boyfriend Cargo Jogger has a relaxed fit and full length. The inseam measures 26.5 inches. I'm wearing size XXS and these do run large. I would recommend sizing down one size. The waistband hits right at my belly button since these are high-rise and if you have any kind of lower abdominal fat, these joggers will accentuate it. This is why I prefer mid-rise pants. I know I don't have a lot of it to complain about, but we all want to look as good as possible! I do love the cargo pockets and if you're looking for a different or fresh look, give these a try.

The drawstring is on the inside of the joggers, which for me is a little weird. If I keep the ties on the inside, they're uncomfortable and make the belly look lumpy, so I just have them hanging over the waistband. This seems to be the most comfortable. Or, you can fold the waistband over and tie the drawstrings on the outside, but I feel like that makes it look more bulky along the waistline.

I do think these look great from the side and from the back. The fabric is soft and smooth. They are slightly thinner than most joggers, so there may see panty lines from time to time.

I love the Hazel Heather color, it's like a mauve/brown/purple. I don't have anything like it, yet it goes with my wardrobe. There's currently only two colors available in these joggers. Black may be a color that's a little more forgiving. I would love to get a pair of these in black, but I'm afraid my orange tabby kitty cat will just get hair all over it.

What do you think of these cargo joggers? They are super comfy. The length is just a little too long, but not terrible since it sort of goes with the loose fit. It looks cute worn with a Scuba hoodie or wrap.

Let me know in the comments below if I should keep these or not.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Thanks for the review! Speaking of Vuori, have you had chance to get your hands on the Vuori meta wide leg pants? It comes in short length, but keeps going out of stock. Curious how it fits on us petite gals.

    1. Hi Melody! I have not, the short inseam is still 29 inches long, which is way too long, my inseam is 26 inches at the most with some shoes on.

  2. Cargo style Vuori are not that flattering on you. I’d return those. However the first pair looks great !

  4. Hi Leslie. I seem to remember you trying the xxs performance joggers and you liking the fit more than the xs. The bf cargo joggers don’t look bad on you but I’m not a fan of the pockets. I think no pockets would have a less busy and cleaner look. I believe they come in a non cargo version? They bunch up at the bottom . But You can wear them pulled up to the calf like my friend does. You can also hem them using the keeping the original hem method without losing the cuffed bottoms. But I know you’re not a fan of alterations Cindy

    2. Hi Cindy! Yes I prefer the XS over the XXS in the Performance joggers. The XXS is just a tad too tight for my liking.

I actually like the pockets! I think it makes it a little more interesting. Without the pockets they sort of just look like baggy sweatpants. I tried those on a couple of years ago. But yes, I am not a fan of hemming.

Surprised you haven't tried Vuori yet! I love them so much!

    3. I was at their Seattle location and tried the joggers on and I couldn’t justify spending the money when I have so many joggers already. They also did not have the xxs in store. My friend gifted me a pair of shorts and a tank top and I love it! My guy friend also loves the men’s line. More than lululemon

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
