Fit Review Friday! Athleta Haul - Sequoia Sweater, Coaster Luxe Jogger, En Route Full Zip Sweater

Happy Friday! My Athleta order arrived from their Members Event last week. I'm mainly looking out for office clothes and fall joggers. I'm pretty much set everywhere else.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS or XXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

I really love this Sequoia Sweater, but the sleeves are too long and baggy. I'm debating if I want to exchange it for size XXS. The only thing is I really like the length of the XS. The fabric feels really high quality. It's a thick, dense knit that's a little on the heavier side but also very soft. I'm loving the thumbholes but I really think they should have released this sweater in petite sizing. The price is high for Athleta - $239. Yikes! I would only recommend purchasing this on sale and if you do want to try it, consider sizing down.

I also have a few pieces in Magnolia White and wish this sweater came in more colors besides black. I think it looks great paired with Lululemon's Ribbed Softstreme Wide Leg Pant

Next, we have the Coaster Luxe Jogger in Fog Gray Heather. These joggers are so soft and comfortable, they seriously feel like pajamas. They are lined in super soft brushed Nirvana which basically feels like micro-fleece, so these are on the warm side.

The pockets are deep and I'm not a huge fan of visible pocket outline, especially since the pockets are pretty big. The length measures 24.5" and hit at the ankle.

Fog Gray Heather is slightly see-through, so I would suggest getting these in a darker color or wear flesh colored underwear. The leg is roomy throughout the thigh and taper down to the ankles.

The wide waistband is stretchy and very comfortable. If I do keep these I would probably just wear them around the house because they're not the most flattering, but they're insanely comfortable! They make great lounge pants. It's the kind of sweatpant I would imagine wearing in the winter with a cup of hot chocolate in my hand while watching a holiday movie.

Last but not least, we have the En Route Full Zip Sweater in Magnolia White. I'm wearing size XS. I was surprised to see that this knit is made out of Polyester and Merino Wool. That explains the interesting texture. Without looking at the tag, I would have guessed it was a cotton blend.

I love the knit ribbing. The sleeves are slightly long, but nowhere near as long as the Sequoia Sweater. I like the two-way zipper. It allows for different looks and styling. Can wear it open, fully zipped, partially zipped both ways and more. I was having a lot of fun taking these pictures.

This would make a very nice addition to my work wardrobe. It's soft, cozy, and warm. I also love the pockets. They are almost invisible which makes this sweater look very minimalistic and streamlined.

I think this sweater easily goes from work to weekend seamlessly. Of the three items reviewed, which one is your favorite? Did you buy anything from the Athleta sale? Let me know in the comments below!

That's it for me, hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

WMTM Update

(This is so tempting because I love the color, but I won't need this until possibly December! Is it worth getting? I might get three months use out of it per year.)

  1. I think between the three items, I like the Sequoia Sweater the best, but I think maybe the xxs would be better. It seems a touch too big, in my opinion.

I shopped the sale also, and picked up the Air Out Cinch Tee in Jay Blue, and the Brooklyn Heights Wide Leg Pant in Damask Mauve. I was a little hesitant about the pleats, but they don't add bulk at all, and the pants are really quite flattering! Not to mention, both items were really discounted, so I got a steal of a deal :)

    1. Hi Lola! Agree, the xxs would have been better.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
