New Releases Week of September 5th 2023

I'm currently posting from New York! I'm visiting my family and will have a New York post coming soon. I'm happy to see the fleece items are back in this upload. Loving the new shade- Heathered Light Orbit. Looks to be another pretty mauve. I'll be placing a Lulu order soon. Let me know if there is anything you would like to see a fit review of.

Hard to believe it's already the 5th of September. I survived my August no-buy challenge. I think it was a successful month and now that I have been doing this for a while, they are getting easier. The month went by pretty quickly and it's not as torturous as it used to be when I first started these challenges. I dare say I now look forward to them! 😅

(This is just too cropped in length and sleeves!)

(Love this color!)

(Do these look like pajama shorts?)

(This is just so cute!)

(Happy to see this is back with gold hardware!)

  1. I hope you're having fun in New York! Can't wait to see your photos!

Congrats on making it through the no-buy August. I didn't do as well. The first couple of weeks went well, but I fell off the wagon near the end. I'm going to give it another go in October so I can squirrel some disposable cash away for Black Friday.

Meanwhile, the Utilitech Mid-Rise Trouser caught my eye, but upon closer scrutinization of the photos, I think they might have the "stick out pocket" problem.

I really like the Light Orbit color (and the name!), but that wrap is enormous! It looks like they wrapped the model in a duvet. And the price is enormous as well. Easy pass for me.

I think you mentioned you placed an order for some of those Jersey joggers, but I would be most interested in a fit review. I'm wondering how cropped they actually are, or if the 7/8 would work better.

    1. Hi Lola! I will have reviews of the Jersey items coming when I return from my trip! I'm tempted to try all lengths to see if any works.

  3. Congrats on completing your no-buy!

I'm planning to try the 7/8 Soft Jersey Jogger and Dance Studio Pant tonight. The 25" Espresso Aligns finally released, so I ordered those this week. Last week, someone returned a Sonic Pink Wunder Puff Super Cropped Vest to my store, and I couldn't resist picking it up at the marked-down price! I'm not totally sure when I'm going to wear it/how I'll style it, but it's so soft and cute.

    1. Update! I tried on both bottoms mentioned. The 7/8 Soft Jersey Jogger was the perfect length for me (5'2") and TTS - hitting right above my ankles; however, the cuffs were way too wide. The side seams also kinda poked out and sat strangely. Overall, they were super soft and comfy, but I would opt for the R2R Jogger instead. It's better quality and design, for sure. I loved the Dance Studio Pant and will probably pick them up next week. They were a bit too long, but the cinches at the bottom make them adjustable. I also thought the back seams helped shape the bum nicely. Also TTS!

    2. Hi LZ! I really want to get something from the Wunder Puff line. I love how soft it is, but the iridescent colors aren't as soft as the regular solid colors, right?

Thanks for the reviews! I still want to try the Soft Jersey Joggers to see for myself. Good to know they're TTS.

    3. You're right - the iridescent colors aren't as soft. My Trench & Sonic Pink are really soft, but my Heathered Plumful is a little scratchy. I assume the Wild Indigo is the same, but I haven't felt it in person.

Looking forward to what you think of the Soft Jersey line!

  4. Light orbit is so pretty! I like the fuzzy mini backpack but I would get it dirty so quick!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
