New Releases Week of July 18th 2023

Kind of an interesting drop today. I like that there are a few more office friendly pieces like the Ribbed Wool Silk Blend Tank Top and the Tapered Leg Mid-Rise Pant 7/8 Length Luxtreme. I'm actually interested in the Clear Belt Bag from a concert-goer standpoint. Clear bags are actually very practical, it would be a piece that would stay in my closet and would only come out a handful of times a year, but I think I may actually get it! What caught your eye today? Let me know in the comments!

(This would be great for the office.)

(This is another piece I would wear to the office, especially in Bone.)

(I feel like this is a restock...)

(I am very interested in trying this, but still too long for me.)

(Tempting but I want Dark Oxide!)

(As ugly as these bags are, they're very practical for this day and age, especially for concerts or outdoor events. They're also good if you work in retail when security checks your bag before leaving.)

  1. Hi Leslie,
I was out during the upload and size XS in Tapered-Leg Mid-Rise Pant 7/8 Length Luxtreme was sold out when I checked the new release right now. :( Hope it will be restocked.

    1. Hi Andrea! The pant looks great for the office, esepcially Graphite Gray. It will still be too long on me, i am guessing 27 inches for 7/8 but it looks like a great OTF replacement! I'm sure it will be restocked. I am hoping for a crop version.

    2. I'm also interested in these, but I wish they were numerically sized or offered XXXS and XXS like the Cinchable Shorts. I am sized out, as XS was too big in the full length version. (I'm usually a size 2 in pants, and XS fit like a 4/6.) :( Bring back OTF already!!

    3. Hi LZ! Good to know the XS fits like a 4/6. I was wondering if these ran small. Hopefully they will release smaller sizes like the Cinchable Shorts. I think Lulu needs to expand their sizing. Seems like they're cutting a lot of their customers off, never a good thing.

    4. LZ I thought size XS would fit like size 0/2! :( I just managed to grab two pairs (Graphite Gray and Black) in size XS and will update Leslie on the fit review. I too wish LLL offered these pants in numerical sizing as well. Just another trick to cut costs! :(((((((

    6. Hi Leslie,
LLL has uploaded Tapered-Leg Mid-Rise Crop 25" *Luxtreme on the Canadian site. Please check if it’s available on the US site. I’ve ordered size XS to try on as well.

  2. I was interested in the clear belt bag too with the same thought of it being a good staple piece for stadiums and concerts. The clear items aren't great fashion, but somehow the round logo makes it look better. I already have a clear cross body purse though (plain), so it seems silly to have a second clear item when I'd only use it maybe 10 times each year. The clear backpack caught my eye. I can imagine a college kid running around with it at a music festival making it look cute. I'm too old to make it work, lol

    1. I totally get it, I have a clear crossbody but the strap isn't that comfortable for wearing for a long time. That's the only reason I would be willing to get the clear EBB. The backpack would be practical as well, but the EBB would be more more useful.

  3. Nothing from the new drop this week. I returned both HH HR 2.5 for size 4 black softstreme shorts (with the drawcord). I tried on the Ribbed Softstreme shorts again and found the black color to fit super tight but not the other color (nomad).

    1. Hi Janessa! Good choice, I actually wear my black Softstreme shorts quite a bit this summer. I should probably offload some of my lesser worn shorts. =)

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
