Fit Review Friday! In-Store Try-Ons Lululemon Ribbed Softstreme High-Rise Short 2 inch, Ribbed Softstreme Relaxed Fit T-Shirt, Ribbed Softstreme Belted Wrap

Happy Friday! Today's post is all about ribbed Softstreme and you all know I love Softstreme fabric. Ribbed Softstreme does remind me of fine corduroy, especially in shorts and pants.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. Please note, the sizes I'm trying on in this post are not size 4. 😆

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Ribbed Softstreme High-Rise Shorts even though there is no stretch to the waistband. I sized up in these and the reviews are correct. While these fit well in size 6, there is not much give in the waist. They are high-rise and sit above my belly button.

I think these look flattering from the front, but slightly too much fabric from the sides and back. The color black also looks like a dark charcoal/gray. The two inch inseam was fine from the front and slightly shorter in the back, but I didn't feel like it was too short. Overall, I found these to be petite friendly but they do flare out from the sides.

This short sleeve tee in Twilight Rose is so pretty, I just love the color. I sized down in this and love the fit. It's slightly oversized and the length covers the bum. The high side slit makes it feel really comfortable and not at all restrictive, which I love. It is possible I could size down to a zero, but I actually quite like the relaxed look. It also drapes nicely too.

So what's not to love? It's pricey at $98. The fabric is also on the heavier side. It would be a little too warm to wear out in Atlanta, but it's probably fine if you're inside with air-conditioning. I think it's a little too casual for the office, but perfect for lounging around. It would look great with some leggings or shorts. It might even work with joggers. I will try and wait for this to hit WMTM.

Last but not least, we have the Ribbed Softstreme Belted Wrap in Twilight Rose. My initial reaction is, it reminds me of a bathrobe. 😆 Would this not make a very cozy bathrobe or what? I definitely could not wear this wrap to work, at least not belted. On the website, the models are wearing it open and it actually looks much better that way. It almost looks like a cardigan or a blazer.

I wish I thought to style it this way when I was in the fitting room. The length completely covers the bum. The price is steep at $168. I think Lulu needs to release this in a blazer. I would buy one in every color, especially since my office is asking for everyone to come back a minimum of four days a week! 😒 A Softstreme blazer would make me feel better about going in!

The sleeves are wide and they hit my wrist. I'm also wearing a size 2 and found it to be a little roomy. I could have easily worn this in a size 0, but it looks like size 2 is the smallest size available. Definitely size down in this.

That's it for me! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

    1. Ah lucky! I want a whole section in my closet dedicated to Softstreme/Seasoft items.
I did not purchase anything from WMTM this week, but there's always next week! lol.

  2. Thanks for the review, Leslie!

I've never tried on LLL's Softstreme items and how would you compare the weight and feel to Athleta's Seasoft fabric?

The belted wrap definitely looks like a bath robe to me! :DDD

    1. Hi Andrea! Softstreme generally feels heavier and thicker - which isn't always a good thing in my opinion. I actually reach for Athleta's Seasoft's crop pant more often in the summer and Softstreme more in the fall/winter. They both feel just as soft to me, so no difference there.

    2. Thanks, Leslie! I just ordered Athleta’s Seasoft Tank Sweatshirt in size XXS (Black and Abalone Gray). I read your fit review again before making the purchase and hopefully they will fit me cos I have very thin arms lol. Will keep you posted,

    4. My first thought when I saw the preview pic was "Lulu makes bath robes? How did I miss that?!" It looks super cozy!! But, I agree that you would have to wear it open (maybe tied behind you) outside of the house.

    5. Oh yes, tied in the back would look great too.

  3. Thanks for the Softstreme reviews! I actually made it to a store and tried on the Relaxed Fit T-Shirt too. I wanted to love it so much, but it looked like crap on me. It looks way better on you. It's expensive, but it felt like the price was almost justifiable. Almost.

Just wondering: have you tried the Tight-Fit Lined T-Shirt? I'm kind of intrigued, and I see it's on markdown, but suspiciously, all the reviews for it have disappeared.....

    1. Hi Lola! I'm hoping the Relaxed fit T-Shirt goes on markdown. It's really soft and love the feel of it, but $98 seems steep to me!

I have not tried the Tight-Fit Lined T-Shirt. I thought the seams down the front looked funny. But that is weird that the reviews disappeared. Kinda shady!

    2. Hi Lola and Leslie,
Looks like LLL took away comments on WMTM items. It’s a shame cos they probably don’t want people to see negative reviews for items that are not selling.

    3. Ohhh I can't believe they do that!

    4. Hmmm. That doesn't sit well with me. Seems a little dishonest, in my opinion.

    5. I noticed this too. The old tracker short design popped up on WMTM this week and I scrolled down to see the reviews...none. I was in disbelief that an OG item had 0 reviews. I wanted to double check it wasn't an updated re-release where the fit was off. It seemed strange they had trackers in all sizes in solid white and solid black years after they discontinued them.

  4. I tried the ribbed softstreme shorts in store in nomad and found my TTS to fit well and a size up to be too big in the hips and waist. It was cute but quite short and I'll definitely pick up a pair only on markdown. I think the wrap looks cute tied but does also look like a lounge bathrobe. xD

    1. Hi Janessa! I got my HH in Atomic Purple, in my usual size 4 and they fit. They're not as small as my White Opal pair so I guess the sizing really varies by color, which is super annoying. My smallest HHs are my Diamond Dye ones. =(

Glad you got to try on the Ribbed Softstreme shorts. At least you know your size! I hope they go on markdown for you.

    2. I lay the Flush Pink (HH HR 2.5") in a size 2 against the 0 from the first release years ago in Pink Taupe... and the 2 waistband is smaller than the 0 by a 1/2 inch (laying flat). I did wear my Pink Taupe a lot but it doesn't seem like the waistband is stretched out.

    3. Wow! All of mine are size 4 and the difference from some of them are drastic but yours is ridiculous!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
