Athleta Sale Haul! In Motion Seamless Tank, Pranayama Restore Wrap, Retreat Linen Jogger, Cabo Linen 4 inch Short

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I mainly stayed in and binged on Netflix. 😅 I just needed one of those weekends, you know? I did do some chores like laundry and cleaning. I wasn't a complete sloth. My Athleta haul finally arrived and I'm very pleased with almost everything I bought. I'm also getting all my shopping done before my August no buy month. Anyone joining me?

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size Petite XS and Petite 0 in Athleta. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

also wearing Align Short 6" (old)

I had originally tried this tank on at the store a couple of months ago but didn't buy it at full price. I pulled the trigger once it went on sale and got an extra 30% off! I'm wearing size XS and I like the fit. It's a little bit long on me but the bottom hem is elastic with rubber grips which keeps it from riding up. It'll be perfect for my weight workouts and yoga too.

Athleta's Pranayama Restore Wrap has been one of my favorites for years. The updated style has grown on me and I do find myself wearing it quite often. It's also office friendly! It looks great over a simple tee and a pair of pants.

I'm wearing size Petite XS and it's true to size. The fabric is super soft and cozy, it's like wearing my pajamas but elevated. It's one of my favorite things to wear. The color Dusk Violet is right up my alley, it's a medium purple with gray undertones and the color looks soft and pretty. I love this one so much.

I can't even tell you how many of these wraps I have bought. This wrap will always be a staple in my wardrobe. I hope Athleta never discontinues this wrap.

Lately I've been on a linen kick and decided to try Athleta's Retreat Linen Jogger in Chambray Blue.

This is my first time trying on linen joggers, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The linen is lightweight, very soft and not scratchy. I'm wearing size Petite 0 and while it's very comfortable in the waist, the legs are overall a little too baggy for my preference. The elastic ankle are fine but this is full length on me. The inseam measures 26 inches long. I think 24 inches would have been better. I was hoping it would be above the ankle for a more summery look. I will say that I think these joggers reminds me of painter's pants!

The waistband sits at my belly button and I love the elastic drawstring waistband.

These also have zippered pockets!

I was most excited for these linen shorts. They looked nicely fitted on the model, so I decided to size up for comfort. I'm wearing size 2 and they are very comfortable in the waist, slightly loose but not too big. I do believe my regular size 0 would have been a smidge too tight. The leg opening is a little wide on me but I don't think it's unflattering.

Inseam is 4 inches and this is probably the maximum length I would wear for casual shorts. I think the front pocket is slightly odd with the top opening but overall, I'm pleased with these linen shorts especially since they're only $29.99. Can't wait to wear these for the rest of the summer!

I kept everything from this haul except for the Retreat Linen Jogger. That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous start to another new week!

  1. Hi Leslie,
Thanks for another great review! I have the Pranayama Restore Wrap in the same color and Dusk Violet is gorgeous! Haven’t really worn it out yet but I have a feeling it’s going to pill like my Studio Pants and Studio Joggers. Just hope it won’t snag easily,

I have ordered a pair of Brooklyn Ankle Pant to try on and I like it a lot. Too bad the only colors available in 00 Petite are Black and Navy, :( I might get a pair in Black if it’s on sale but really hope to get a pair in medium or dark grey, and maybe something like Abalone Gray,

    Andrea

    1. Hi Andrea! The fabric does pill, just because it's so soft, but I still love wearing them. When it gets to pill too much I won't wear them to the office and just wear them at home. But I haven't had any issues with it snagging.

I love the Brooklyn Ankle Pant too. I have a couple of pairs I wear to the office. 00Petite is going to be a hard size to get. They don't make too many of those sizes.

  2. Hi Leslie. I shrunk my retreat linen joggers in hot water and the dryer and now they fit way better. Cindy.

    1. Hi Cindy, thanks for the tip! Do they stretch back out as you wear them throughout the day?

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
