New Releases Week of January 17th 2023

In a rush today, but nothing for me this week, I am back on my no-buy until March. Lots of new items from Athleta and Aviator Nation as well. My wish is growing! 😅 Let me know if you picked anything up!

(This is 100% polyester, I don't get why it's $98?)

(Not new, but a bunch of colors have restocked including Sonic Pink!)

 Athleta New Arrivals

(Added this to my wish list for March 😅)

(I am eyeing this tank in a few colors for the office.)

(This color is so pretty!)

(Love this too, adding it to my wish list.)

(I would be interested in trying one of these.)

  1. hi Leslie! If you end up ordering the Elation pant, I'd love to see a fit review please! The length and tapered legs look petite-friendly, but I wonder if the front pleats are flattering.

I didn't order anything today, but I ordered a pair of Brooklyn lined joggers during Athleta's extra 30% off sale. I checked your old review before ordering and size 0 was a perfect fit. I'm very pleased with both the fabric and fit of these joggers! Thanks again for all your fit reviews!

    1. Hi Karen! I am def going to get the Elation Pant for a review. The front looks almost like the Salutation Joggers with pleats, hopefully it's flattering!

Ohhh I bought a pair of Brooklyn Lined Joggers too in December with the extra 30% off, but I'm sure you were able to get an even better deal! I love them. So worth the money!

  2. Twilight rose is beautiful! I want Hotty Hot HR 2.5"! But I will wait for spring/summer... but then they'll just be out of stock all the time.. I am on a low buy. Idk if I could do a no buy but I will try with you.

    1. Hi Janessa! The no buy is hard, but we can do it together! I told myself I can keep a wish list and then if I still want the items in March I am going to allow myself to purchase them. At least the purchases will be things I really want and not impulse buys. Twilight Rose really is beautiful. Hope to see more items and shorts in that color!

    2. That's a great idea! I will do a wishlist too and hold off on buying things til March. I still have some aritzia orders coming in... hehhe. I got the Christie pants which I love and some basic clearance tops

  3. Nothing new for me this week! The tennis stuff is cute, but I'm not a serious - or smartly-dressed - player. Maybe on sale. I'm starting to get bored with the women's items, so I've been dabbling in the men's section and have really enjoyed what I've picked up so far. The Soft Knit Over Shirt is a weighty, nice quality layering shirt. I'm wearing the Commission Long Sleeve for the same purpose right now, and it's so light and comfortable. I'm thinking of trying some of the "shorter" joggers next. Will report back if I do!

    1. Hi LZ! That's so cool you're exploring the men's section. What size do you wear for their tops and how does it translate to women's sizing? I am wondering if they are petite friendly enough to try. Definitely report back on the joggers if you give them a go.

    2. I wear an XS in men’s and am usually a 2/4 in women’s. They fit just slightly oversized without looking sloppy or obviously men’s. The top-of-the-shoulder to armpit is the only place I notice a bit too much length

    3. Oh nice, I will have to see if there's anything I'd like to try from the men's section. I totally agree that the women's stuff is getting a little boring.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
