Fit Review Friday! Naked Cashmere Lorraine Button-Up Cardigan, Karen Scarf & Up to 60% off Winter Sale!

First fit review of the new year! It feels good to be back on a regular schedule again. I have a Naked Cashmere review today and just in time too, because they just announced their Winter sale (up to 60% off) with most items being 50% off. I'm trying real hard to stick to my no buy but a few of these items have been on my wishlist for the last couple of months and it is really tempting.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size XS in Naked Cashmere. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and PXS in Athleta.

also wearing Ebb To Street Cropped Tank Size 6
Ivivva Rhythmic Tight (old)

I love Naked Cashmere packaging. Every item comes with its own storage bag. This makes it really easy when it's time to put winter pieces away when warmer weather comes. Naked Cashmere has some of the best cardigans. Their cashmere is very high quality, super soft and never itchy. The descriptions for every item always lists the weight and gauge of their cashmere. Gauge refers to the number of stitches per row or per inch. A lower the number refers to a lighter weight as less cashmere is used. A higher number means the stitches are more dense. From what I've seen, Naked Cashmere typically ranges from 5 to 12 gauge. If you're looking for a lightweight piece, a lower number is what you're looking for. If you want heavy warmth, aim for 12 gauge.

With that, the Lorraine Button-Up Cardigan uses 305 grams of cashmere and 7 gauge knit. It's a light weight cardigan that's perfect for indoor settings. I wear mine to the office on a regular basis and it's also super easy to wear out. The fit is relaxed and I would say on a petite frame it is slightly oversized. The sleeves are long, but so far they have not bothered me. I just push them up or fold them up.

The color Lake is a beautiful pale blue. It also works as a neutral. While the Lorraine Cardigan is not currently on sale, but a very similar Anika Button-Up Cashmere Cardigan is, for $147. It's not ribbed, but has a similar cut and weight.

I also couldn't pass up the Karen Scarf. This is my second one and I snagged it during the Archive Sale for $69. I went for Olive and it's an earthy green that reminds me of moss. I've already wrapped myself in it while reading or watching TV.

Karen Scarf Olive (on sale!)

Here are a few ways to wear it and I really don't know what I did in the picture below, but I thought it looked really cute. 😊 Also tried to show how large this scarf is. I love oversized scarves. This one measures 84" by 34".

The Karen scarf is made of 465 grams of cashmere with a 5 gauge knit. Even though it is a huge scarf it's still fairly lightweight. It's insanely warm when I'm bundled up in it. This can be worn as a wrap if you're petite. It's currently half off for $172. I honestly think the Archive price was a mistake at $69. Did anyone else manage to snag one for $69?

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great first weekend of the new year!

Shop:

(Looks a lot like the Lorraine Cardigan, just has extra buttons and not ribbed.)

(I've had my eye on this for a long time.)

(This is very tempting too. 😅)

(This one looks very sleek without the bulk of the Millena.)

(I've been eyeing this one as well, love the neutral pink tones.)

(I actually have this cardigan and love it so much. It's the same as the Lorraine cardigan but natural cashmere colors. My review.)

(Absolutely love this blanket, but too steep for me still. Maybe some day!)

(If you'd like to dip your toes into Naked Cashmere without breaking your bank account. Gets 5 stars!)

  1. I can’t believe the Karen scarf has gone up in price! I got the same color as you for $69 and I am so happy with it! Given that it was marked down so much and only 2 colors were available then, I thought it was a closeout item.

I wish I could buy so much more but sadly my budget isn’t a Naked cashmere one. However, on a recent trip to Nepal I bought a beautiful gray cashmere cardigan for $45. No mark up for the American market!

    1. I was shocked when I saw it for 80% off, I couldn't believe it to be honest, have never seen them mark down any item at a discount more than 60% off. It was our lucky day!

$45 for a cashmere cardigan is amazing! Especially when these pieces can last a long time. Enjoy them!

  2. Naked Cashmere pieces are sooo beautiful but I have a few other brand sweaters I don't reach for much so I can't justify buying any. I love how you styled the scarf with the cardigan

    1. Thanks Janessa! I realized that I reach for cardigans the most, so I am willing to add those more than pullovers. Naked Cashmere is one of those brands that I love but my wallet doesn't lol!

  3. Hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! The colour, Lake, looks very nice on you. The Karen scarf looks luxurious and big enough to use as a throw. I like the ways you styled it! Did you end up getting anything from the 60% off sale?

    1. Hi Karen! Lake is such a beautiful color. I want it in the Rowan pretty badly but too expensive, wish it went on sale. I am looking at a few items from the 60% off sale. A few of them are shackets which is such a weird name for sweater jackets lol, but thinking about it, still pricey even at the discount!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
