New Releases Week of October 11th 2022

Somewhat of a disappointing drop from Lulu today, but there has been a lot of new footwear from Allbirds, Rothy's and Athleta/Saysh. Nothing for me from Lulu this week, but I did place an order for the new Saysh Two Sneaker. It just looks too pretty not to try. Allbirds are really killing it with their new colors. Buoyant Mint and Thrive Teal look so good! Let me know what you think of today's drop and footwear.

  1. I'm interested in the new Tree Dasher Mizzles in neutral black. I hope they come to Canada soon!
The Saysh Two Sneakers look very fancy with the satin ribbons! This is the first time I hear of the brand. Please let us know how you like the shoes!

    1. Hi Karen! I've seen the shoes on Athleta before but I do think it's a fairly new company. The founder is Allyson Felix! Will definitely have a review up soon. =)

  2. Swift Speed HR Crop 21" Reflective Take Flight Gray Silver Leslie i'm shocked like you about the price being ridiculous $398 WTF!
Looking at them closely the designed dot pattern is reflective. Might as well sprinkle metallic sticky sparkles on any fabric with achieve the same results..Lol. Maybe they thought of inclusivity of higher price see what the market will bare. If some young rich gal wants to walk into the gym knowing none will be wearing these exact color and deign. Leaving her to believe styled to nines giving that fuzzy feeling. Certainly assume diva has some issues of self esteem and need to have eyeballs glued upon her tacky leggings pattern. You use the excuse purchasing for running in evening for its reflective safety features.
When will Lululemon start selling its individual laces for extra cost when purchasing its shoes?

    1. Hi Mack! At first when I saw the Reflective Take Flight Gray Silver print, I was like ohhhh that's actually a pretty nice print. Then I looked at the price and just shook my head. While it being reflective does make it look really special in the dark- no way is it worth $398! I can't see Lulu selling out unless they made very few pieces. I think even on WMTM, which it will very likely hit with the strange economic times it will probably sit for a while. I guess we'll see.

I think all shoe companies should sell spare laces at a cost. It's definitely a good idea and I'm sure it would be a very popular sell, especially with some fancy ones!

    2. It seems like they always produced an expensive reflective legging just like this one for SeaWheeze each year and it would sell out. Maybe because it was a special Seawheeze item, they were happy to pay the $400? But, I don't get it either. It will be interesting to see if people buy these when they aren't listed as a *SE Seawheeze item.

  3. Nothing for me from Lulu with this drop. The swiftly LS race in sonic pink was a restock - I bought mine when it restocked in my sz during the summer, then it was sold out, then it's back again lol. Hopefully this will teach my brain not to have FOMO mentality anymore lol. Actually I know it won't :p. I did end up buying that black ebb *wordmark since I saw it restocked and "only 3 left" 😅

    1. Hi Blueberries! Thanks for letting me know, I can hardly keep track these days! I'll update it in the notes that the Sonic Pink Swiftly is a restock. Hah! Well at least you can always sell it if you get tired of the EBB. They're a hot commodity right now. =D

  4. Just the Pink Peony Swiftly Race LS for me this week! We also got them in Psychic in store, but I have talked myself out of that one since I sold my Jet Stream one last year. I don't prefer dark colors for tops these days.

    1. Hi LZ- It is interesting how our tastes are constantly changing and evolving. It's a never ending process for me. I'm trying to only keep the items I actually wear and it's so hard to let go of some pieces! I don't understand it.

  5. I love the reverse dasher color. I saw the email but I don't need shoes because I ended up getting some ultraboosts recently. Nothing for me but I got a navy court rival from Like New! It was only $35 but I had to pay shipping which is fine.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Review! Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap VS Everywhere Belt Bag Original

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely.
