Fit Review Friday! Athleta Seasoft Wide Crop Pant, Seasoft Tank Sweatshirt, Seasoft Tank Dress

Happy Friday! Who else is participating in this month's no-buy challenge? How did everyone do this week? Tuesday was tough, not gonna lie. That Heathered Plumful vest is really tempting me. I hope it's still available in September. It is still summer and very hot so hopefully no one is interested in down pieces yet. 😬 I will be keeping a wishlist of all the items I want but cannot buy. This weekend I am going to focus on my closet and will be pulling out pieces I no longer reach for and listing them on my Poshmark account. Feel free to give me a follow.

Today, we have a few of Athleta's Seasoft pieces up for review. For reference I am 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta and size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

I absolutely love Athleta's Seasoft Straight Pant and have them in two colors. I wear them at least a couple of times a week during the warmer months. They're so soft and cool to the touch, so when I saw the Seasoft Wide Leg Crop Pant, I was immediately interested and placed an order to try.

I'm wearing size PXS, which is my usual Athleta size. It is quite fitted from the waistband throughout the hip area and the fabric is thin enough that you can see the outline of my underthings. I think that's my biggest complaint about these crop pants. I was hoping I could add these into my rotation but that is a deal breaker for me.

The lines aren't as noticeable in the front, but they are definitely there from the back. Sizing up could potentially fix this issue but I think it would be too big everywhere and swallow my petite frame even more. The inseam of these crops measure 20 inches on the size PXS. The crops hit just a couple of inches above my ankles. I think the length works and would look great with a fitted top.

Next up we have the Seasoft Tank Sweatshirt. I ordered size XS to try. As you can see it's too big in the chest and torso. The length is a little too long. I think if this would have been available in PXS, it would have worked.

The sleeveless cuff design makes the shoulders look wider which is great if you have narrow shoulders. Fabric is medium weight. It is little heavy for a summer top, but the only saving grace is how soft and cool the fabric feels. Overall, I am sad to report this is not petite friendly. I was very disappointed as I had high hopes for this one. If it comes out in petite sizing, I may revisit for a second chance.

Sizing down is not really an option as the arm opening is very high up.

The dress is available in petite sizing and I am wearing size PXS. The length hits just above the knee on my frame. Fabric is medium-weight but feels very comfortable and soft. The neck opening does not feel tight which I was a little worried about.

I love that it has pockets! The shape is quite boxy and straight. It does fit slightly wide in the chest and torso even in the PXS. However, it is super comfortable to wear. This was almost a keeper for me.

I did not end up keeping any of the Softstreme pieces much to my dismay. I still need to try the Seasoft Quarter Zip. I'm leaning towards sizing down in it considering the tank and the dress both run large. Hopefully I can check them out at the store next time I'm there. That's it for me! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Happy Friday Angeli! I hope Athleta heads to Europe soon too! It took them forever to get to Canada. They finally got it just last year.

  2. I think the crop looks cute on you. I love my Seasoft Straight Leg Pant and might give the crop a try if it is on sale. Would be nice if Athleta releases a Seasoft Wrap!

You know what? I finally gave in and ordered the LLL Wunder Puff Jacket in Heathered Plumful to try on. :D 95% of my jackets are in black or grey and I’m not sure if Heathered Plumful will be too bright for my liking. I ordered my usual size 2 cos the sleeves were only a tad long on you. The jacket should be arriving on Monday and I will keep you posted.

    Have a wonderful weekend! Andrea

    1. Hi Andrea! Yes I would love for a Seasoft Wrap. Maybe that's coming for fall!

Ohhhhh I can't wait to hear what you think of the color! I love that color so much. It is very colorful and pretty though. It's beautiful. Have a nice weekend!

  3. Thank you for a great review, Leslie! I really like the Seasoft Crop but prefer the Straight Pant on you. I really wanted to love the Seasoft Dress but the cuffs at the shoulders made me look so wide - not a good look.

On a related note, I tried on the Softstreme dress in the store and ended up getting it in black. My review just got posted online if you or any of your readers are interested :).

I have the same problem as Andrea that my google account would not load.

I just read your review on the Softstreme dress, sounds like it's a keeper. I still worry the length will be too long on me, I would prefer it to hit above the knee like the Seasoft Dress.

      Hi Leslie,
My Wunder Puff Jacket arrived super fast and it is even nicer than I thought! I’m glad I went with my regular size cos the sleeve length is perfect! The lining is so soft and I feel like being hugged by clouds. Of course the color is beyond gorgeous! I don’t need another winter jacket but I’m very happy with my purchase. :)

  4. hi Leslie, Thanks for the fit review! I think the Seasoft Cropped pants look very good on you! Is there an elastic at the top? Is the waistband stretchy and comfortable? The dress looks pretty good too! A little boxy, but the length is right. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Karen! Yes there is an elastic at the top of the waistband. It's stretchy but it's not as comfortable as say Align bottoms. I prefer the waistband on the Seasoft Straight Pant.
      Have a nice weekend!!

  5. Thanks, Leslie! That's helpful to know. Hopefully they'll go on sale in September when my shopping ban is over!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
