Before I get into the sale, here's an update from our vet visit. Neko is perfectly healthy with zero issues. Flash has the second best report card, he just some watery eyes that we need to monitor. Could be allergies, could be herpes that flares up when he's stressed. But nothing that needs ointment just yet. I know you're all waiting to hear if Ash pooped in his carrier, and yes, oh YES he did. Although he almost made it without pooping. We were maybe about 5 minutes away from the vet and my husband says, "I smell some poop...." Ash had a lot of tartar on his teeth but the good doctor managed to scrape some of it off and proclaimed, "LOOK at that! I just saved you guys $500!" 😹 I seriously wish I got that on video. Ash also has a slight ear infection that does reoccur every so often and we have to give him meds everyday for a week and then once a week to prevent it. On the way home, Ash also peed in the carrier. He definitely wasn't having it. Ash was so not happy with us. Simi, however lost 2.5 lbs since her last visit in 2020 which is a lot of weight for a cat. She only weights 7.5 lbs now, which definitely raised a few eyebrows. The doctor was concerned and ordered a blood test to check her thyroid levels. Unlike the others, Simi is not food motivated at all, and if any of the other cats crowd her while she's eating, she just walks away. I am thinking we need to feed her separately so she can put on some weight. I did post a couple of videos on my Instagram stories. 😅
Now onto the sale. I don't shop at Nordstrom very often, although they just started selling Allbirds shoes which I find very interesting. I would rather get my shoes straight from the source though. I do like to browse the Anniversary sale to see if there's anything I want, except by the time it's open to the public, most of my favorites are sold out. Barefoot Dreams Cozy Lite Circle Cardigan $79
These cardigans are so popular, I still haven't tried one yet but every year I look! Can anyone comment if these are worth the hype?
I've been eyeing the barefoot dream cardigan each year but have not pulled the trigger until this year. I'm trying the circle one. Hopefully it won't disappoint!
ReplyDeleteThe panties look promising but guess do they compare to invisiwear which I love? Price point is similar... Some reviewers say they stretch out though? Have you have this issue, Leslie?

DeleteI have not experienced them being stretched out yet, but I only did discover them recently (May), but good to know that's something to keep an eye out for. I hope it doesn't stretch out quickly!
I love the cat updates! We have a wonderful Golden Retriever/German Shepard mix dog and she is our dog-ter. Definitely keeps us on our feet and brings us so much joy.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 styles of the Barefoot Dreams cardigans, I prefer the cozy lite material like the one on sale, the material is interesting, it is silky and kind of cool feeling against the skin. It’s on the thinner side. I think it was relatively softer when I wore it for the couple of times and isn’t quite as soft now. I don’t think it’s worth full price but on sale it is more reasonable. I’m so picky about how material feels on me so that’s just my opinion. Some people may love it more than I do. :)

DeleteThanks for the review on the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, I do want to try it, are the sleeves tight at all? They do look slim fit on the models. Just curious because if they're tight and not stretchy it might bug me when I wear my Apple Watch....
Yes, I did find the sleeves a bit on the tighter side and not a whole lot of stretch.

Glad you liked the videos on IG. =D I did think it was pretty funny the way they all have such distinct meows. Ash was non-stop the entire time, he was really unhappy.

I have two Barefoot Dreams circle cardigans. A grey one that ended up being a size too big, but I really wanted to keep it and my TTS wasn't available for the sale anymore. I wear the grey one around the house all the time. It's my favorite winter time piece. It's so soft and cozy. I think because it's a bit big, it's feels too casual to wear out (although I probably could.) The following year, I got a black circle cardigan in my TTS and it fits perfectly. I think because of the color and fit, I could wear it with leggings or jeans outside of my house and not feel undressed. I will agree that my TTS is a bit tighter on the arms. Not uncomfortably so, but I could see one of those bulky watches getting in the way. I wear mine all the time, so I feel like the price is worth it. They are so soft and warm. I'm in California, so they are warm enough for "Winter" here. I wouldn't buy a bunch of them, but having two in basic colors the perfect amount for me!

DeleteAww your cats are quite a handful! Do they pee because they're nervous? My yorkie has peed on me when I carried him into the vet bc he was so scared D: but I've since gone to another that is much kinder to animals and he doesn't do that anymore. Still nervous though! I haven't looked at the N sale... but I'll have a browse! I like your picks but I feel like I have too many clothes so I shouldn't look...
ReplyDeleteHi Janessa! I think Ash peed because he was stressed or did it to spite us. He poops because he's stressed. Poor guy. I definitely have too much clothes. But I am always moving things out for new items coming in... it's a never ending cycle!
