Fit Review! Court Rival High Rise Skirt Long & Nulu Cropped Define Jacket

I can't believe the weekend is already over! Last Friday was my first full day back at the office. I'm probably going to be at the office a few times a week to start. I'm so not used to waking up at 6:30 am and my commute is much longer now that we moved to a new office. It's anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. 😓 Now that life is starting to go back to normal, I'll be reviewing more non-athleisure items probably a few times a month. Today, we have part 2 of my Lululemon haul.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. However for the Define Jacket I tend to size up to a 6.

I'm wearing my usual size 4 and find it to be true to size. I ordered the long version for extra length, I think this would be a really cute skirt to wear out casually, rather than to workout in. The waistband is stretchy and I found it to be comfortable. The length measures long 15 inches long. The material is light-weight Swift fabric. The liner has pockets to hold your phone and apparently can also fit a tennis ball! The liner also has these rubber grips at the hem. I did notice them when I first put them on, but after a couple of minutes, I forgot they were even there. Price is high at $88. Why are skirts so expensive these days?

For those of you interested, I'm also wearing Athleta Elevation V-Neck Crop Tawny Rose in size small. I have already wore it once for an upper body workout and I absolutely love how it feels, so I immediately went and ordered two more colors. I think I'm obsessed with this crop tank. The tank has very little support, so I do not recommend unless you're very small on top like I am or planning to do low impact workouts. I definitely prefer this over the Align Tank

Next up we have the very highly anticipated Nulu Cropped Define Jacket in Vintage Plum. I went with size 6 and found it to fit perfectly. It wasn't tight anywhere at all. The size 6 feels snug but I didn't feel squeezed in.

I absolutely love the length. It hits at the high hip and accentuates the figure. The color Vintage Plum is brighter in real life, I thought it would be more subdued. I didn't love it so it's going back.

Elation Rib Crop Flare Size PXS (review coming soon)

The sleeves are a little long on my short arms, but when I folded the cuffs inwards, it turned out to be the perfect length! Overall, I really do love this cropped version of the Define Jacket and will definitely buy in another color that suits me better. The length of the body is just so much more petite friendly. Now if only they would make the sleeves shorter for us! 😏

That's it for me, hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

  1. Court rival skirt and nulu cropped define - two of my favorite Lulu items! Do u like the skirt? R u keeping it?

Too bad the cropped define didn't work out... I went to my sz 4 and it fits perfectly - even the arm length... Hard to believe! I wore my vintage plum for the first time (finally) and zipped and tucked into my high waisted skirt - that's my weekend uniform 😁

    1. Hi Blueberries, I don't wear skirts enough to justify keeping it. Especially at $88. Yikes. I would definitely consider if it was on sale. It's very cute.

Ohhhh that uniform sounds really cute. I never would have thought to tuck it into a high waisted skirt. I'm going to keep an eye out for new colors in the Cropped Define. It seems popular enough that I think Lulu will keep it going.

  2. hi Leslie, Thanks for the fit review! The cropped define jacket looks good when you fold the sleeves inward. I think some Lulu stores can hem the sleeves if you're interested. Vintage Plum looks a little brighter than expected, but it's very pretty on you!

I hope transitioning back to the office won't be too bad for you. At least your new office looks very nice!

    1. Hi Karen! I think I will consider hemming the sleeves once I find one I like. It does look really good at that length.

Thank you, I hope I will get used to going into the office again. So far it's been rough! I'm super tired when I get home. The office is really nice though, but still- I prefer my living room. LOL.

  3. Does the skirt fit more like hotty hot shorts? Or more like speed ups? I ordered a skirt for the first time and would like to know

    1. Hi there, from what I remember the waist was pretty comfortable but the wide band isn't like either short. The liner was true to size, I didn't have any issues with it. The leg opening on the liner has these grippy nubs to keep it in place. I felt the nubs were pretty noticeable but after a few minutes I got used to it. Hope that helps!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
