Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. Leslie, I returned the Nulu Cropped Define in Black. It feels pretty thin for a jacket. People seem to really like the jacket tho. Hopefully the Silver Blue color will still be around when your ban is over.
ReplyDeleteI want POCC in Silver Blue (or White Opal) but feel $118 is too steep for a high maintenance shirt that does not keep me warm. Do you want to talk me into buying it?
Hi AmherstLulu - ah I guess I will have to see for myself if I like the Cropped Define. If Silver Blue is sold out I'll wait for another color since it seems like it is popular.
DeleteI love the POCC, and if it feels a little chilly, sometimes I'll wear a tank or another tee underneath it. Have you seen it in person yet? You can always try it and return it if you're not loving it. I admit I don't wear it that often. It's more of a spring/early summer or early fall kind of top. A transitional piece.
The POCC in Silver Blue looks pretty, but I don't want it enough to pay full price. This month of low buy has been going well. 6 more days to go~

DeleteYou have so much self control, Leslie! Good for u! I didn't order anything for once cos there's nothing I really want. The Silver Blue nulu cropped define is nice but I already have two that I haven't start wearing yet so I really shouldn't. The court crush dress looks cute but not digging the u stitching at the back....

DeleteThe U stitching is interesting on the Court Crush Dress. It's definitely a technical piece. Overall it's still pretty cute. From the stock photos it's less noticeable on the white.
I really like the style and the cut and so I bite the bullet and keep both. I think it's partly fomo too as small sizes are all sold out 😅
DeleteI really miss the causal fit and flare dresses Lulu used to make! No technical dresses for me as I don't wear dresses to workout. And I certainly don't play tennis lol
Yeah I just looked and the Silver Blue is sold out in all of the smaller sizes. I'll have to keep an eye out for restocks.
DeleteI realized that I hardly wear tights or leggings to work out anymore. I used to when I lived in the northeast, but now, it's shorts all year round! Would never wear a dress either lol.

ReplyDeleteWith only a few days left this month, we are almost there! I will probably continue my low buy all year, though. If I do bring in new items, I'm going to continue to rotate out existing pieces.
Good for you! I'll try my best to be more mindful going forward with what I bring in. The one in one out rule is a good one too. Or one in, two out if you're looking to downsize.
DeleteNothing for me too and my wallet is happy. Honestly unless there’s something I really like, I’m not willing to pay full price on LLL items, especially when fabrics like Luon or Nulu tend to pill. I hope they bring back the On The Fly 7/8 Pant though. I’m just not a fan of high rise casual pants.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea, it is sad that Nulu pills so easily and especially for the price. I'll have to keep that in mind when I eventually try the Cropped Define.
