Fit Review Friday! Aviator Nation Retro Crew Sweatshirt, Retro Hoodie, Ninja Pullover Hoodie

Happy Friday! I went a little crazy in January with Aviator Nation. I'm falling in love with their clothes more and more. Last weekend when I went to Avalon (outdoor retail space) I saw three people wearing Aviator Nation not including me and my husband! It makes me happy they're becoming more popular since I love anything to do with rainbows. Plus the clothes have a super soft vintage feel and they are made in the USA.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear size XS in Aviator Nation. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops.

The Retro Crew Sweatshirt is my new favorite. The fit is relaxed but not oversized. I'm wearing size XS and the best way I can describe the fit is cozy. If you're not a fan of cropped length pullovers, this one hits low hip.

The color on the website says this sweatshirt is black, but it's more of a dark charcoal gray and not a true black, which is fine with me. The inside is lined with super soft fleece. When Atlanta gets too hot to wear pullovers, I am going to miss it!

This is my second Ninja Pullover Hoodie. I love my Heather Gray Ninja Hoodie so much, I wanted a sanother color. I originally was going to purchase one in Navy, but Claret stole my heart. Unfortunately both colors are currently sold out but Aviator Nation does have restock notifications. I signed up for them myself in a few items. I'm waiting for some vests to become available - I really hope they do. It's on my wishlist.

This gorgeous shade of Claret isn't a true red, it's more of a soft cranberry color and while I don't have many reds in my closet, I feel like this one suits me well. It looks great with gray or black jeans. I can even wear them with my joggers.

Last but not least, I could not pass up this Retro Hoodie in Vintage White. This is my second Retro Hoodie. My first Retro Hoodie, purchased back in December has been my go to hoodie. I was waiting for Vintage White to come back in stock and when it popped up in XS I bought it. 😆 At least I can wear the zip ups well into summer. Pullovers, not so much.

Now that I've owned the 5 Stripe Hoodie and the Retro Hoodie for a few months, I have to say I like the Retro Hoodie more. The sleeves are not as fitted and I prefer the extra room.

I said this back in December but this time I really hope I'm done with Aviator Nation for a while! Memorial Day will probably be their next big sale. I hope I can wait a few months before my next Aviator Nation purchase.

That's it for me! I hope you all have a great weekend! It's starting to feel like Spring and I am here for it. I want to go out and walk in the parks. I need some fresh air!

  2. Hi Leslie,
I love all three pieces! Ninja Pullover Hoodie is the nicest one and while I’m not a red person, I would totally wear this beautiful claret color! The only thing that bugs me would be the white stitchings below the neckline in the back. I wish they used tone on tone stitchings to sew on the label. On well, maybe this is how the design team like it!:)

Thanks for the review and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea! That's funny you mentioned the white stitching because I thought it looked a little odd when I first saw it but after awhile, I don't even think about it anymore. It would be a little nicer if they used the same color thread for the box, but I guess they think it's a way for them to stand out.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
