Fit Review! Rothy's Merino Slipper

Happy Monday! There's only a few weeks left to 2021. I'm already starting to reflect on the last 11 months and thinking about what I want to accomplish for 2022. It's also cozy fuzzy slipper season and when Rothy's came out with these merino wool slippers lined with soft sherpa, I had to try them out!

For reference I wear a size 5 in Rothy's Points. I also purchased these in a size 5 as well.

Before we get into the fit review, if you've never ordered from Rothy's before, they ship their items using the least amount of packaging which I really appreciate. (Am I the only one that's annoyed by all the plastic bags that come with everything?) It's not a shoebox within a box. They just stick the label on the shoe box itself. Once you open the box, there's the dust bag laying right on top of the shoes. I love the simplicity of it.

These only come in whole sizes and I purchased my usual size 5. Right away I could see these are wider than my other Rothy's. The top of the shoe is made of soft merino wool knitted with their signature thread (spun from plastic bottles). The white stitching complements the gray shade nicely. The lining is soft sherpa, however it does not cover the tops of your feet. I would have preferred the sherpa to go all the way around the foot, so I was a bit disappointed.

The bottom of the soles are made of "Sturdy Crepe" to be honest I'm not sure what that means. 😅 The web site states it is "made of 26% natural minerals and durable enough for indoor and outdoor wear." Good to know!

The inserts are removable.

The back of the slipper has their signature blue halo. The price of these are steep. These will run you $155 or $135 if you use a referral coupon. Still a bit high but what do I know because the Glacier Gray and Winter Berry are completely sold out in all sizes. So I guess there are people out there who think it's worth the money! If they fit well, maybe?

These are very comfortable in the toe box and the length was a perfect fit, but ultimately I had to return because they were too wide for the back of my foot and would slip in the heel. That said I am eyeing The Driver in either raspberry or burgundy. The burgundy is a new color. As of right now, they are fully stocked in all sizes. Which color do you like more?

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. I can't believe the year is almost over! I like the dark red bc I'm more of a neutrals gal but the raspberry color is beautiful and more unique! Those Rothy's slippers are soo cute! I don't own any Rothy's but will admire your collection from afar.

    1. Hi Janessa! As much as I love my Rothy's, Allbirds is still my #1. Have you tried Allbirds? Can't remember...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
