Happy Friday! I had a crazy week. My Lululemon order arrived and I was planning on taking photos for this Fit Review Friday but the weather has not been cooperating. Looks like this weekend will be sunny and perfect for photos, so I promise I'll have a Lululemon review up for Monday. I've got the Align Tank Waist Length, Align Gathered Front Tank, and the Align T-Shirt coming up for you guys!

Allbirds recently released their own activewear line made with a mix of sustainable materials. When I was at their store a couple of weeks ago, I decided to give their Natural Run Tank and Natural Bike Short a try on.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. I am wearing size XS in Allbirds. I also wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

This run tank is made of soft breathable mesh fabric. It contains merino wool which is surprising, I could not tell by the feel of it. I'm wearing size XS and it skims over the body. It reminds me of a looser fitted Swiftly Racerback Tank. The length is very petite friendly, it hits at the hip.

I was on my no buy month when I tried this on, so I had to leave it behind. I do think I would like to purchase one and give it a try. The Aubergine color is really nice in person. The price is $48 which is comparable to Athleta and Lululemon. I would like to give this a test run and see how it performs during my workouts.

I also grabbed the Natural Bike Short to try on and wasn't sure about the sizing so I went with the size XS as well. I definitely think I would prefer the size small instead. The XS was just a bit too compressive and tight for my preferences. The inseam measures 7 inches which is a little long for me. I prefer 5 or 6 inches at most for biker short styles. This also contains merino wool as well. This is a medium weight fabric and feels very soft. It kind of reminds me of Everlux fabric. The waist comes up to my belly button and definitely a bit snug on me. Price is $68, which I think is a little expensive but they do feel very high quality. I think if they made this in a shorter length priced at $58, I would be willing to give it a try.

Here are a couple of pictures of the tank in black. Between the two colors, I prefer Aubergine. The black also seemed to fit just a tiny bit tighter than the Aubergine. Also in their activewear line are Natural Leggings, Run Cropped Tank, and Natural Run Shorts

Playing around in the fitting room!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  1. hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! This is the first time I see a try-on of All Birds' clothing! I think both the tanks and the shorts look good on you! The 7" biker shorts don't look too long at all. If you end up getting the tank, please let us know how the fabric performs. Have a good Friday!

  2. Thanks for the review, Leslie! The tanks look very comfy and the texture looks interesting!

The short looks like it’s nice and thick. Wonder if the material will pill like Nulu! :)

    1. Hi Andrea! It's possible it will pill eventually. I would definitely like to try the tank before I would try the shorts!

    2. Off topic but the three pair of Align shorts I got early this year are pilling and I only wear them for my home yoga practice. Glad I got them on sale but still. The other day a friend of mine was wearing a pair of Lululemon luon capri which she got over ten years ago, and it is still holding up well with zero pilling, Sad when the quality of Lululemon products keep going downhill when the prices keep going up.

    3. Oh no... that's very disappointing. I have a few pairs myself and will have to check to see if they are starting to pill yet!

  3. Happy weekend! I love the color of the aubergine and not so much the black. I agree the price is a bit high for biker shorts and 7" inseam is a definite no for me! I picked up an 8" align short on markdown and I have to get it hemmed! It looks awful on me. Gave me flashbacks to my middle school days wearing above the knee shorts.

    1. I have one pair of 8" Align Shorts and definitely not my favorite. I prefer the 6" the best. When I feel more comfortable going out and about I will have to get them hemmed as well. I wish they had more colors available in the 6". They sell out so fast!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
