Upload! June 15th 2021

Wow, what an upload! A ton of Spiced Chai items dropped today, I can't really complain because I've been waiting for this! I placed an order for Perfectly Oversized Crop CrewWide Leg Hi-Rise Crop 19" and Always Effortless Jacket all in Spiced Chai. I got a fit request for the Track That Mid-Rise Short 5" in Tidewater Teal. I wish there was a 3" version so I could do a comparison, but maybe they will release that next week.

This was a pretty decent upload. I'm excited to get my order for all the Spiced Chai goodies! Let me know what you got!

Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew Softstreme Spiced Chai

  1. hi Leslie, I think the Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew in Spiced Chai will look great on you! The Wide Leg High Rise Crop 19" looks super soft and drapes nicely on the model. I'm interested, but it's $128 in Canada, too expensive in my opinion. I look forward to your review on the crops! If you like them, I may get them if they go to WMTM. Have a good evening!

    1. Thanks Karen! Yes I'm pretty excited about the Wide Leg Crops... I hope I like them! Haven't bought a pair of new pants in awhile from Lulu.

  2. I couldn't decide between the POCC in spiced chai or the Scuba 1/2! I got the Scuba... but now I'm thinking maybe I should get the POCC because I don't have anything in that material and style! Do you find that the softstreme material holds up well?
Also both my skirts came in! Pace Rival Tall in TT and Court Rival Reg in Black! I love the TT color as a skirt. It feels happy, is bright but muted and not too loud of a color and the skirt fits high waisted. The back does look an inch and a half longer than I'd prefer but the front looks like a cute mini skirt. I love the ruffles of the CR but I'm not sure about black! I love having neutrals but this style is so playful that the details are lost in the black. Plus the LLL logo is really stark against the black. I haven't decided on which yet. I know I'll get a ton out of a black skirt.... but TT color wins by 100 pts!

    1. Haha, I wish the Scuba 1/2 zip worked for me. Although if it did I'm sure my wallet would be crying. So far my two older Soft Ambitions/Softstreme pullovers have held up well. Some people complain about the water stains but they wash out, it's not permanent. I haven't had any issues with mine. Happy to add a couple more!

That's great you like the Court Rival and Pace Rival Skirt. Between the two styles which do you prefer? You know I would say Tidewater Teal over black any day... lol!

    2. I am going to reeturn the PR Tall skirt. I love how it looks from the front but from the back and side, there's too much fabric on my frame and my granny said it looks like a bird tail D: haha!! I'm going to keep the CR regular for now... tags are still attached bc I don't like black that much. So far I think my favorite style I've tried is the Play Off The Pleats Skirt. I would like to try a PR Regular length someday. I think for us petite frames, the regular fit is so much more flattering.

    3. I agree, the regular length is more flattering the tall just has too much fabric overall and looks a little bit too much going on.

I still need to try the CR skirt! it's been hard to get my hands on one!

  3. Just want to give a shoutout to Lulu for their diversity in models on the Speed Up Mid Rise Short 4"!

  4. Once again Canada didn't get everything the us site goy in this upload. Boo. On the bright side, we got some spiced chai too. I bought the half zip scuba (partially due to fomo lol) tho the shade of spiced chai looked darker than on other items/materials. The AEJ in spiced chai is also very nice and caught my eyes...but couldn't justify buying as I already have two AEJ. The LL cloud bra in spiced chai - love that too tho the LL cloud doesn't fit me well. Canada didn't get the POCC in spiced chai :( I look forward to your review on all the spiced chai items!

    1. I did think the Spice Chai looked a little darker on the Scuba 1/2 Zip. You'll have to let me know if it does look more brown based. This is my first AEJ and wasn't sure of the sizing. I ended up going with a size down. Hope it fits!

    2. So! Canada got the spiced chai POCC online today and I ordered it! I will have to make myself pick between that and the scuba (I'm secretly hoping I don't like the chai color on the scuba as much lol). The water stain on softreme - is there anything you can do to remove it other than washing?

Size down meaning sz 2? I also wear a sz 2 in AEJ and I think you'll like the fit of it! I reckon I can even fit into a sz 0 but chest area might be tight. Tbh I never tried on other sizes than sz 2 in that jacket cos that was all they had on MD lol

    3. Oh nice! You'll have to let me know which one you end up keeping. Hmmm not sure. It's very faint after it dries. Sometimes I don't even really notice it. But washing it removes it for sure. I guess it depends on how much it bothers you. Maybe it shows up more on darker colors?

Yup I ordered a size 2 instead of my usual 4. I hope it isn't too tight in the chest/arms.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
