Fit Review Friday! Vuori Halo Performance Short, Performance Jogger, Lux Harem Pant

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I am blogging from New York. I'm so happy to see my friends and family again. Here's a selfie of me and my grandmother. 😃

My grandma looks sooooo happy!

Okay, so today I have a quick review of a couple of Vuori items. I've reviewed the Halo Performance Short and Performance Jogger a few times already so I'll go over them quickly. I've never reviewed the Lux Harem Pant before.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size XXS/XS in Vuori. I usually wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

also wearing Naked Cashmere Courtney Cotton Crew Size Small

I'm really digging matching sets these days. Even though the tee isn't Vuori, I think it works well with the shorts. They're both heather gray and just slightly different shade, but fairly close. I think it works. The fabric is also different but both are super comfy. This is my third pair of Halo Performance Shorts. I wear them for lounge, I wear them as pajama bottoms, I've also worn them for working out. I'm wearing size XS and find them to be very flattering. The inseam is 2.5 inches. The waistband is mid-rise and super stretchy with a drawstring.

Next up we have the Performance Jogger in Kelp Heather. I am wearing it with my Soft Ambitions Crop Crew. The Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew in Softstreme is similar. I actually ordered this in Trench, and will have a review up when I get back to Atlanta.

I am wearing size XXS in the jogger and I can also go with size XS as well. There really isn't that much of a difference between the two sizes. The XS is slightly looser fit but both are just as comfy. Fabric is soooo soft, they're the perfect lounge pant. I've also worked out in these as well. I'm not usually a green person but lately I've been digging green paired with a beige colored top like White Opal. I think Trench would also work nicely with this shade of green. The length of these measure 25 inches. It's very petite friendly! These are hands down the best joggers I've ever tried on.

also wearing Rothy's The Lace Up

The Lux Harem Pant is new to me. I've been meaning to try this for a while. This is mid-rise but it feels more high-rise to me. The length is 24.5 inches in length. I'm wearing size XS.

As you can see there's a lot of excess fabric around the hip. It looks way more streamlined on the model and I am a little disappointed with how it looks on me. I was hoping for a slimmer fit around the legs. The length was fine. The waist and rear fit well, but too baggy everywhere else. It is super comfy and the fabric is soft and silky.

Sizing down would probably help with the excess fabric, but I think it would be too small in the waist and rear for me. I ended up sending this one back. I am glad I tried it though!

I do like that there are pockets!

That's it for me! Enjoy the weekend! Summer is almost here. It's definitely feeling like summer in New York the past two days.

I love the Vuori Performance Joggers on you! The kelp heather is so pretty. I have the same joggers in this same color and a few others, definitely one of my favorites!

    Have a wonderful weekend!!

  2. Lovely pictures of yourself and your grandma! I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time in New York!

I love both the shorts and joggers on you. Not a green person but kelp heather is such a gorgeous color! It’ll definitely go well with a lot of earth tones.

The Harem Pants looks kind of bulky especially with the pleats in the front. A big no-no even though it looks comfy.

Have a nice weekend with your family, Leslie!

    1. Yes they do look bulky. The pleats didn't help.

Thanks Andrea! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

  3. hi Leslie, Thanks for doing a fit review even while on vacation! Your grandma must be so happy to see you! You two look so sweet together!

I'm glad you decided to do a fit review on the Vuori Lux Harem Pants. I like the flat, wide waistband just like Align joggers. They do look a little baggy though. I agree with Andrea that the pants would look better without the front pleats.

Enjoy your time in New York!

    1. Hi Karen! She is so thrilled to see me back here. Will spend as much time as I can with her.

Same, I wish the waistband was flat like the Aligns. It might have been a keeper if it was.

    1. Hi Janessa! Thank you! Grandma's are the best. =)

The shorts are almost as good as the joggers. They're so soft.

      Have a great weekend too!!

  5. Grandma looks beautiful. So I'm looking for a pair of full-length but cool joggers to wear on hiking trails -- Lululemon swift ultra clings to my sweaty legs, and Athleta's Farallon joggers feel nice but are way too heavy and hot. Any ideas?

    1. Thank you! Have you tried Vuori Performance Jogger? They're my go to for everything. From lounging to workouts. Not sure how tall you are, but they come in two lengths. There is a tall version that measures 27.5 inches long vs 24.5 for regular.

    2. Thanks, will have to give them a shot!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia.   Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC. I'm already thinking about all the dim sum I'm going to cram in the 10 days I'm there! 😆  Today I have a review of the new  Everywhere Belt Bag Extended Strap  compared to the original  Everywhere Belt Bag  that is slowly being phased out. 😢  **** Update - The original Everywhere Belt Bag has been phased out completely.
