Fit Review Friday! Athleta Haul! Release Tee, Brooklyn Jogger, Farallon Print Sweatshirt, Om Wrap in Powervita

Happy Friday! I'm going to get my first Pfizer shot today. I'm glad I scheduled it on a Friday in case I get any body aches or feel feverish I have the weekend to recover. I'm planning on wearing a tank top and a light hoodie. It'll be 80 degrees when I go. It's at a giant stadium. I bet it'll feel surreal.

Today I have the second part of my Athleta haul up for review. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 0P, XXS, XS in Athleta. For Lululemon I'm usually a size 4 in tops and bottoms.

When I first felt the Release Tee in my hands I was very surprised at how soft it was. It's made out of modal/polyester but it feels like linen. It's very thin and lightweight, which is perfect for Atlanta's summer heat. It's super oversized. I'm wearing size XXS and I'm still swimming in it. It drapes very nicely and looks flattering. I love the look of it with the front casually tucked in and the back long. The color Metropolis Gray is a very pretty steel blue. I decided to keep  this tee. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it. It does run large so I would recommend sizing down at least one size. It's also a bit sheer, but when it's hot, who cares, right?

I am pairing this with Brooklyn Joggers in Mountain Olive.

also wearing Rothy's Lace Ups.

Two pockets in the front and two pockets in the back.

I've been meaning to try these joggers for a long time. I kept putting them off because I didn't see a color I really liked. The Mountain Olive color reminds me of gray sage. It's a beautiful green/gray. I normally don't love green, but when I saw these in person I knew they were keepers. The one thing Athleta has on Lululemon are petite sizes. I have not found a pair of Lululemon joggers to fit my short legs. The Brooklyn Joggers measure 25.5 inches in length and they work well enough. If they were an inch shorter I think it would have been perfect but I realize I am on the shorter end of the spectrum. These are mid rise and the fit is casual. I'm wearing size 0P and the waist fits perfectly. I would like to see Athleta expand their petite sizing to add 00P /000P for those who may be sized out. The fabric is Featherweight Stretch and is very thin. These are perfect when the weather is still a little too cool to wear shorts, but too warm to wear your fleece joggers. I wore these out a few times already and love them. Looking forward to seeing these offered in more colors.

This is one of the few items I received that I didn't love. The Farallon Print Sweatshirt is made of organic cotton/spandex. This is definitely a heavier cotton, it's soft but feels substantial. I am wearing size XS. The body is boxy which I didn't find too flattering on me. I could have went down a size to XXS but I prefer the more relaxed fit these days. I do think the print would have looked better in the Black Olive Camo

I also didn't love the seams that run down the length of the sleeve.

The back shows a wide band that is not on the front which is also why I think this looks better in the Black Olive Camo. It's more subtly in the darker color. This also comes in solid colors as well. Cypress green and black.

This Om Wrap in Powervita is really interesting. It doubles up as a vest! I can't tell you how many times I would take my scarf off because I would get too hot around my neck and wouldn't know what to do with it. Now I can throw it on like a vest! The armholes aren't very big, so it's best if you have average sized arms. The Powervita fabric is super soft, it reminds me of Align fabric. Very buttery and drapes nicely. The snaps are similar to the Vinyasa scarf, but the quality of the snaps could definitely be better. Overall, I definitely am keeping this one and have my eye on the pretty flora mauve color.

I never did try the AYT. I'll have to check that one out.

    1. Thanks Andrea! I got my first shot. Wasn't bad, but the arm is a little sore. Hopefully that's all it is.

  4. I like the release tee on you-looks so comfy. The Om wrap is a good idea, but the arm holes would bother me.

Good luck with the Pfizer shot. I had my first moderna shot yesterday. My arm (shot area) was pretty sore the next day. I even rubbed it out right after the injection, but it was still sore. Difficult to raise my arm. I also had ‘brain fog’ and a headache for 24hrs. Most people I talked to said they had no problems after the first shot. So I was not expecting anything. Hopefully, my body will be less reactive with the second dose. Good luck.

    1. Thanks Sherry! So far my arm is a little sore. I hope it doesn't get worse tomorrow. I was very sleepy when I got home and took a 2 hour nap. =T

Here's hoping your second shot is better!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
