Fit Review Friday! Restful Intention Sweater Wrap & AirWrap Pullover Hoodie

Happy Friday! It's been a crazy week for me workwise. I also can't believe it's the end of January! Time is just flying by the older I get. Today I have a couple of new items up for review, so let's get to it.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This pullover hoodie is actually very simple but quite comfy and cute. I am wearing my usual size 4 and it is slightly oversized. I would say if you want a more fitted look, size down. This is spacer fabric and is definitely on the thin side. If you look closely you can see the outline of my In Alignment Bra.  The color alpine white is a very light gray. This also comes in black. The sleeves are definitely loose and roomy. It's got a boxy fit and hits at the hip. It's slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back.

Very generous fit in the sleeves. Length is long.

I do like the hood!

I almost missed this little detail, but there are tiny little side pockets with zippers. Not totally sure what you would use them for as they're pretty small. Maybe some keys or cash? Although I don't think I would want to put keys in there because of how delicate this fabric is. Is it worth $108 plus tax? I would say probably not, but judging at how alpine white is almost completely sold out, I guess it is?! It's a very simple pullover hoodie for the price. If it weren't for the side pockets, I would say it's definitely over priced. Maybe the price tag is because of the spacer fabric? I am not sure. I do know that I think it's very unique to Lululemon. I definitely don't recall anything similar to spacer fabric at Athleta. As of right now It's available in all sizes in black. I'm guessing black isn't a very popular color these days?

Next up we have the Restful Intention Sweater Wrap in pink. I couldn't pass trying this up. I thought it looked so pretty on the model and I knew the length wouldn't be too long on my petite frame. This wrap is made of Cashlu. It is very soft to the touch. I'm wearing my usual size 4. Here's my biggest gripe about this wrap, for $168 + tax, you would think Lululemon would finish the inside of the pocket? In the below photo you can see the how the pocket is only attached by a thread. 😒 It's also pretty noticeable, especially from the front.

You can kind of see the inside pocket from this photo on the website, but it's definitely way more apparent in real life. Am I just being too nit-picky about this detail? How do you guys feel about it? Would it bother you? Because other than that, the wrap is really gorgeous. I love the big pockets on the front, but just wish the inside was more polished.

I love the subtle color blocking. I know some people don't like it, but I do. When it's done well, I think it makes things a little more interesting. The sleeves are definitely a little long and they are fitted throughout. I would be a little bit worried about shrinkage. If this wrap does end up shrinking in the wash, the sleeves might be tight fitting. Something to consider, otherwise it is true to size.

I love the thumbholes and how easy this wrap drapes. It's definitely a cozy piece, perfect for lounging around or work from home days. It would also be great for early spring days. I'm just too stuck on the pocket issue. Let me know what you think of this wrap!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Maybe the pockets are only tacked on because you’d see too much of a line if the pocket was sewn across and it would ruin the visual vertical lines of the wrap. I like the wrap on you.

    1. Possibly, but I have other Cashlu wraps and the pockets are tacked down. Other than the pocket it's so pretty.

  2. The air wrap hoodie is a ‘meh’ for me. BUT that sweater wrap looked great on you. The color and fit looked perfect on you. The pocket flaps would bother me, but I think I would just try to inconspicuously tack it down with a needle and thread. Hope you keep the sweater wrap, I think you would get more use out of it. Thank you for the review!

    1. Thank you! I will think about it... That's true, I would get more use out of the wrap over the hoodie.

  3. Thanks for the review, Leslie! The Restful Intention Sweater Wrap is really beautiful and I like how it looks on you. Not a color block person but the subtle color blocking in this wrap does make things more interesting. The color is really pretty too! The pockets don’t bother me that much cos with a delicate knit fabric, I think you try to avoid unnecessary stitchings. I would say keep the wrap! :)

My first spacer fabric Lulu item is the Embrace the Space Hoodie and I like how soft and drapey it is. Definitely prefer it over the thicker spacer fabric used on the Going Places Hoodie (the black one fades after a couple washes). The design of the AirWrap Hoodie is too simple though and I wouldn’t pay that much for it.

    1. Good to know the black Spacer fabric tends to fade. Maybe that's why it's still in stock. I have the Renegade Hoodie from last year that I love, love it so much I bought it in two colors!

The wrap is really pretty. I will sit on it. Maybe if it hits WMTM? What are the chances?

  4. Happy Friday, Leslie! Thanks for another great review! The hoodie fits you well, but the Full Flourish Pullover you reviewed a couple weeks ago is more special!

The Restful Intention Sweater Wrap is pretty, but I'm guessing there's a good change it'll go to WMTM? $168+tax is pretty steep and many of their sweaters and wraps have gone to WMTM. Have a great weekend!

    1. This is true. I think I'll wait it out for WMTM. Thanks and have a great weekend!

  5. I agree with everyone that the wrap is beautiful and that most likely it will hit WMTM.

By the way, the knee strap came. I ended up buying size medium since I am definitely not size large lol. Medium fits perfectly! Let's hope that it will help to stabilize my problematic knee.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Oh awesome, I'm glad the medium fits. Because in case it was too small I would have bought it from you since the do not take returns. The small for me is almost too small. Let me know how you like it!

  6. Hope you had a good weekend! I love the pink sweater wrap but the pockets do look a bit strange from the front. I would say wait for WMTM on that one!

    1. That's definitely what I decided on. Hopefully it will make it there. Just never know these days.

    2. Hello! I am very late to the party, but thank you for the review! I was actually looking at the Airwrap Crew in Alpine White for playing tennis, and your blog has been the most helpful thing close enough to get an idea. Would you say that the Airwrap Hoodie in Alpine White is noticeably a light gray if next to white cotton? It's just that I have white tennis shorts and am trying to avoid wearing two different shades of white, but white shorts and light grey top is totally ideal.

Thinking I might go for a 6 too. It's tricky, because I'm a guy and 5"6 about 120lbs. Think the length and boxy'ish width should be good. But I'll just have to see about the length of the arms, hopefully not too long!

    3. Hi there! The sun is already going down right now, but I'll add some photos of my AirWrap Crew next to my white tee and you can decide if it's different enough for you. I do believe you're the first guy to comment on my blog! Makes me happy! The sleeves are pretty long on me, maybe if they are too long you can get them hemmed. =)

Check back tomorrow for the comparison pic.

  7. Ah thank you! And I’m glad to hear! It’s helpful to look at your post, our Lulu here doesn’t carry it and I’m well versed in men’s sizes but women’s I’m not too sure and this item is perfect for what I need for playing!

    2. This is PERFECT! Thank you, it's a tough call. This shade of grey will definitely work. Either this or the Smoked Spruce is what I am leaning with. I will let you know which one I go with and size! This helped a lot.

    3. You're welcome! Smoked Spruce is really nice as well, that is a tough choice to make. I myself wish I had gotten this in the Grape Thistle color, but sold out now. =( Regrets!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
